One of the best portraits I've ever seen.
Firstly, the simple aspects. You've got his lighting just right, it's not too dark or light and the shadows are at a bare minimum, yet is still has a slightly "dimly lit" tone to it which is just .... mhm, because it's actually even.
You've positioned him perfectly in respect to the background, the Matari emblem just visible to the right there. A+++
Sometimes side-profiles don't work the best, but Badel's does just fine. In fact it seems almost essential as it really highlights his expression, kinda a look of inner-reflection or contemplation. Gives me a feeling this big guy is very thoughtful, extremely gentle, yet conceals an inner beast that people would quickly regret inciting if ever they did so. His beard and dress give a somewhat rough touch to his overall appearance, but not in a way that makes him seem any less refined.
This portrait makes my little knees buckle inward everso slightly when I view it. My chest thumps slightly heavier, and my breathing become short and shallow. My lips quiver a little too, and as I try to give further critique only a little whimper escapes them.
10/10 peeled Bananas, sir and 4/4 Dusettes.

Great expression, tattoo just subtly highlights the facial structure while the hair makeup and cloths all work together. But, the lighting is just over-the top... straight int he face and washing everything out.
7/10 losing some big points because of lighting. |

Aye, that's kinda the idea. In fact a "washout" without many shadows is very hard to achieve (took a few weeks of experimenting in fact - I'd kill for a neutral lighting option). Achuran features are very pronounced, so as soon as you start to add shadows they become over-pronounced, and you often end up with ugly. 
As for yours sir!
I can see you've been spending a lot of time tweaking and refining him recently. I like how you've kinda matched the colour scheme of the outfit somewhat with the background, and then sat the character in the portion that has different lighting/colourng. Kinda frames him nicely.
The pose doesn't look awkward and looks quite natural which is always hard and gets you a bonus point.
Otherwise a very common, generic looking portrait with no real stand-out positive or negative features.
6/10 rounding up.

The lighting is weird around the neck but that can't be helped and doesn't really damage the shot overall. Not too much I can say other then looking very good indeed, those freckles though, the standout feature to be sure!

The slight smile, hair, and beard all go really well with your character, the offside face is a great addition as well.
Honestly, while it might not have any real "Wow!" factor, it is still seemingly unique.
For that I'm giving ya some bonus points.

The lighting works well to bring out your characters features. The head piece adds nicely to the clean cut look and the background, unintuitively, manages to add to the lighting effect. the eye tattoos are a nice touch.
Bonus points for making a dark avatar picture work so well

Battle-hardened veteran is not happy to pose for silly portrait, he's got a knife to sharpen and a weapon to clean!
Portrait is a bit dark and some of the detail is lost in the smaller version, but the lighting works enough in larger versions. Will say 8/10, +1 for being a Brutor and yet not use silly piercings nor tattoos that's 9/10.
