Basic, but really well done. You look like an old Dustbunny without so much armor. It's simple but solid, and there's enough small touches to make it really come together. My only complaint is that the lighting's not great--there's not as much contrast as there ought to be, and it really makes your skin far too flat. 8/10

A really interesting one~ Nice use of the scar to bring focus to that side of the face & the tattoo, and it adds a lot to the feel of the face itself. The hair also goes great with the look, and it's cool how the tat extends into the hairline - the Mohawk part really adds some good dimension. The combat suit also gives some great lower detail and makes the whole thing come together in an almost soldier look. All around great, honestly, especially in the full version (not all portraits translate well to the shrunk version)

Certainly an unusual portrait. Very unique and sneaky looking facial expression that screams "Hey, let me help you handle some of those corp assets for you... No, I don't know who emptied out the corp wallet". Background is also fitting.

TBH at first I kind of thought "no", but this is a nice portrait really... the glasses just miss being right... however its the strength of the portrait perhaps... I think you stole them, like you always do... we never see you in the same glasses... even if you are gone for like five minutes, you come back with different glasses... WTH!... this is like a whole set of stories I want to hear.

Solid portrait, not only do I like the way it's a side portrait, it also works well against the red and black background, especially because of your light grey hair. The glasses fit and while I'm usually not a big fan of piercings, the small one you have in the nose there looks good in this case.

Quietly nice... good use of background in framing, as well as keeping a festive look about it, the very clean martial presentation is much softened by a puckish enigmatic smile. The shadowed glance is inviting, but makes no promise of a response amusing to any but yourself.

The side-profile and focus on the scar helps add serious character. My only gripe is that the hair seems "off". I'm not a fan of the style, BUT it still compliments the character scheme, so that's just me being nitpicky.

Huh. Not sure where to start with this one. There's... a lot going on, and I'm not sure it's all good.
First of all, the framing. The (very very poor) framing means it's difficult to get a feel for your character, even in the blown-up view. Bring that in closer, far closer, and use an angle that isn't from a meter up. If you want to show off your shirt, there's ways to do that without that wreck of an angle.
Color composition is lacking. Again, I get your desire to show off that shirt (hey, I forgot to get mine), but at least make an effort to pair your skin, arms, and hair together. That background doesn't help. I've used it and I've seen it used very well, but as a way to add dynamic color to an otherwise monochromatic portrait. It doesn't work in your already busy one.
I'd like to make comments on your body position, expresstion, etc, but honestly, the framing's bad enough that I don't feel I should try to pass judgement.
2/10, definitely one of the worse ones on here. Could become something nice, I'm not sure. Try taking inspiration from the more highly-rated avatars here and try again. I'll be here to give advice, though! Don't think I'm being harsh for no reason :)

I'd like to say something brutally honest to match the direction you've taken the thread in, but I simply cannot find fault. The framing is excellent, the lighting and background match very well, and the character is very interesting. Neph is beautiful. The facial tattoo and burn scar make her look battle-hardened and suggest many stories. The natural expression further emphasizes this. Seriously impressive. 10/10 |

I have nothing bad to say about Shahira herself: she's a classic Khanid beauty and a pleasure to look at. But the portrait (imo) puts too much focus on her neck and cleavage, so the very top of her hair is cut off. Also, there's some weird shadows in that cleavage, as if her clothes are a photoshop layer on a paper doll.
So, 10/10 for the looks, 8/10 for the portrait, 9/10 total. |

Your avatar could be much improved with a few changes to framing and lighting.
Note that most good portraits don't put the eyes in the center of the frame. Move the character up a bit - yes, that could mean showing a bit of neckline, and yes, it might cut off the top part of the hair. In return, you'll get to show more of the jacket and bring out your colour composition, which is pretty good.
The current lighting is very bland; the portrait will look much better if you change the lighting to something more defining. Good lighting makes all the difference between that golden pale skin, and looking sickly. It'll also let you highlight those shiny bits on the collar and the reflective material of the jacket. There are a few options that will still let you have interesting shadows; try them out. |

Looks a bit too far away and maybe too much off center. The background and lighting seems alright but could do with better lighting that fits the background. That posture and expression is bog standard and lacking character as well.

Not great, but hardly shabby. Framing must be worked on. I don't know why your face is in that lower quadrant only. Angle's quite interesting, however, do keep that.
Lighting isn't terrible, but it is very dark. That highlight is excellent and the blue is a nice taste, but overall, it's far too dark. If you had lighter accessories, clothing, or background, I think you could pull it off, but this won't cut it. Really poor detail, although the macro of the character's quite expressive and well-put-together.
5/10, I'd say. Rather crappy right now because of the abyssal framing and poor light, but I can see a ton of potential. Please work on it; it could be quite good.
Seriously though, just move that camera. It's like a bad cropping job.
E: forgot to mention, that yellow stripe is fantastic. It'll come out even better with more light and when it's framed so we can see more.
