zentary	Posted - 2007.12.04 17:41:00 - [1] Edited by: zentary on 04/12/2007 17:42:43 ok all i want to ask is why nerf the eos ok take two guns off thats ok but then get rid of two fo the heavy drones and nerf the overall amount of drones it can hold so ive heard is utter bs if just one ccp person can just tell me one F***** good reason it needs this big of a nerf i would be satisfied and i said good not some random bs you can think of on the spot or even an eve player with one it was ment to be a drone ship supposedly but yet it only has more drone bay as ppl said before the astarte was more useful then the eos in combat because the fact it didnt rely on drones for like 50% or more of its damage yea yea i know my writeing and stuff like that is crap

As it was, the Eos wasn't in line with the other command ships, so they nerfed it back in line. Uber tank, crappy DPS, able to fit lots of gang mods... Sounds like the Eos and the rest of the command ships to me to be honest... _______ Sign my sig!

Eos was broken before the nerf and it is still (and even more) broken after the nerf.

Though, we do have to understand what CCP's stance is: Do CCP care about being fair to individial? Probably not, this demonstrate it. Do CCP care about being fair to overall? I say yes. This change really do suck, it need less nerfing, let's just hope CCP come to their senses and give it back it's bandwidth at the very least. All the nerfing come together just make it extra difficult to bare

Does your Eos outdamage a Thorax? Before trinity, it outdamages an astarte. An Eos > Astarte > Brutix > Thorax > Ferox > Vulture Now its Astarte > Brutix > Thorax > Eos > Ferox > Vulture So ill ask you. In comaprison, your eos is still as good if not better than a vulture. Your gang mods are going to be boosted too, due to the increase in ECM since the ecm boost too. If you dont use them for gang boosting, then thats another reason why the nerf occured.

They should have done a better research, and came up with a better balance, as it is now, I do not know what it is good for, since the links are complete crap.

The ship was considered overpowered, and was balanced as the Content team saw fit. As a result, sure, it's not the solopwnmobile it was, but it is now inline with the other ships of it's class. The search feature will allow you to find the relevant threads discussing the balance changes. And please, do not use the forum to rant, it is neither productive nor beneficial.
