I can't log in. I updated the client and everything. I'm running classic version. When i launch the client it seems that it can't connect to the server. Now its not the Firewall cause I added it to the allow part (even though it was there already), I even disabled the firewall and rebooted the computer and nothing. I know people where having this problem on Test server but can't seem to find a fix for Tranq server. THX!

I'm pretty much having the same problem i think, i can play no problem on the laptop, wirefree, but i can't connect on the desktop, i keep getting
"connection failed - Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong."
My router settings, firewall etc are all the same as they were before the patch was deployed.

i uninstalled and reinstalled EVE but still no help, server status is at "unknown" still, i thought maybe it was a firewall problem but turning that off didn't help either.
i'll keep looking and see if i can figure something out, but it's almost 0130hrs so don't hold your breath!

Please remember a couple of things - if you're having problems with the patch, thousands of people trying to download it at the same time can cause errors.
Actually getting in game, the log-ins afaik are throttled until server stability is ensured, this may be the issue there.

The problem here is the inability to actually log in.....the posts i read in that link were from people who had logged in. A corp mate of mine just said that certain ports were to be closed for reasons he did not know.

ISD member, THX for the official answer!! Soo you guys aint slepping huh? lol
Anyways... this is the same error that people were having with Sisi when Trinity came out on test server... The only problem is that Now with Trinity coming out to Tranq, we have the same problem with Tranq. Can you provide us with the Tranq server IP soo at least we can try using the Sisi Hotfix for this while you guys figure out what's going on? thx

I'm going to forget about it and turn in, it's 2am here, and given CCP's good track record i'm sure all will be fixed soon. A patch of this size is sure to have a few mior problems. Big up to CCP and all ISD members, who i'm sure are going to have their hands full for a while!!
Later all

I reinstalled the game completely, but still doesnt work. What do I do??????

I cleared the cache then restarted the client. That didn't work.
Then I rebooted my computer and restarted the client and I am now able to login.

Hi guys,
I would suggest you try clearing your cache and settings folders (see here for where they are located). This can often help with login issues and corrupted settings.
Failing that, I would suggest filing a stuck petition. If you continue having issues, please try and run logserver and bug report them, so that we can get it fixed up (see here) -- The cake is a lie! |

i get that splash-then nothing too. no login screen. just exefile in process list. i filed a bug with log but they just told me to update drivers and directx. i get reports from people that they have classic working ok with older directx:es too (older than 1 month). I updated the dx anyways and it still isnt working. I have also tried deleting all cache and settings. i also did a full reinstall from scratch.

I tried clearing cache folders but it still wont log in.. I am running classic graphics because my video card doesnt support the new graphics.. Not sure if that might cause an issue..
