Edited by: jnmkcx on 06/12/2007 01:39:21 After trinity deployment this buy orders on nexus chip are Have disappeared......its just bug or not? when this orders was live it was very nice to exchange 1 lp = 1 isk. Without this orders will be more hard to make money to all who dont work on caldari or ammar, because very intresting and usefull modules in lp shop this two races.

Well. If true then it sucks.
It is possible to get better than 1000 isk/LP ratio with all racses as hardwires are mostly above that limit, but if those markets get overpopulated then it's possible to back to pre revelations II era where LP was worth less than 1000 isk/LP in some cases.

CCP we need to do something, like fix this problemm.Because not all can work on amarr ammatar or caldari For simple i cant work on this faction because my standing very low to them. You may say "It is normal gameplay situation, like all off races have another ships, and problemm not in our decision, problemm in your tactics and mind", but i say you no......example> when i need to make any work, all time i have 2-5 ships and can take that ship, which will be more effectivnes then other in this line. But when we speak about LP shop i cant do any сhoice, i play minmatar races and have -8 faction stendings to republic enemy when this LPshop was only in ideas. And when you place in game lp shop me and all people like me have been cut off from other players to whom has carried more.Maybe just dont need to take away from us this buy orders? I understand that no one can build completely balanced structure, but all of us was born equal in rights, and no one dont want be in category of the second grade.

I'll check after downtime if this is true. The patch notes don't mention this.
The 1000 isk/lp npc buy order needs to exist to establish the value of lp on the market. Without it, sellers of LP store stuff are likely to drop their prices even further to sell faster, causing a market crash on lp store goods.

No NPC buy orders in Essence atm.
There were before the patch.
This may be a bug. Bug report it: https://bugs.eve-online.com It was not mentioned in the patch notes or changes.
I'm sure there's a lot of mission grinders who have established home running systems with nexus chip selling corps who aren't too happy right about now, and if they all flock to selling other stuff on the LP store at once, it's gonna crash the lp store goods market hard. Not cool.

I remember no major patch in which CCP didn't ruin some part of the game! This one was having all chances to become first, but no :(
Just why in the bloody world was I mission-whoring this stupid Duvolle? To get nothing for my efforts in the end? Goddamn those morons who come with this idea. I played counting on certain profit BASED ON GAME RULES, and it's YOU, CCP, who set rules for the game, but why don't you have any guts to keep yourself to YOUR OWN rules?

Well. I do sign this petition. Eve is world of alternatives, here we have one alternative removed. It's bad but it's acceptable as soon as it is mentioned in patch notes before patch. It was not mentioned, so please roll this change back. Let holy light of Darkness enlighten you! |

You do Duvolle to get access to some good R&D agents.
And where in the game rules did it say that you can sell a Nexus chip to NPC for ISK? In fact, why was this a good thing? Congrats to CCP for getting rid of an ISK faucet. Perhaps we should now consider using the LP store to actually buy things worth loyalty, like faction ships/modules or whatever else you'd like to have.
You say you remember other patches, but it almost seems like you don't. You should know by now that nothing is guaranteed after patch day. In fact, I hear it's common practice to liquidate possible problems, such as built up LP/Nexus Chips, in case after patch day things have changed.
Get a Patch Day survival kit and adapt.

thats fine and dandy. now if only CCP would fix the bloody non-caldari LP shops 'cause frankly, the nexus chips was all some shops had.
take a look at some of the minmatar shops and point out items worth more than 1k isk per lp. you'll be hardpressed to find any worth a damn
So thx CCP for ******* up the only reason to run non caldarian (to some extent amarrian) missions. wonder what i will spend all the uber lp i acquire... oh thats right, nothing cuz aint **** worth it

Minmatar shops with items worth more than 1000 ISK/LP. Hmmm... not hard to find. I'll give you a clue. It's what I use to blow stuff up in my Tempest. Of course the price on that will crash once everyone dumps their LP into that. ------------

mmhm... what you use on a tempest
lets see - RF Gyros... 40m to build and sells for around 40m (frankly you'd be hardpressed to sell any decent amount of RF Gyros.)
RF guns - (1400mm) costs around 55m according to NPC buys. sells for around 40m and once again, you'd be hardpressed to sell any decent amount.
lets not even get started on the hilarity known as the Tempest Fleet Issue by far one of the most lackluster faction battleships.
now the ammo might've been worth something but yet again, better to just run caldari missions for the ammo. . .
ah well, find a good source of income and abuse it until CCP nerfs it to hell. worked before so time to find a new money maker while i watch my useless LP climb... i wonder if i can hit 5,000,000 LP w/ my current corp before i get bored
yea yea, adapt or die. . . sure but being a 2nd class citizen of EVE sure is getting tiresome

I haven't had time to check everything yet, but the patch notes didn't mention more or different LP rewards, so check around. Your Nexus Chip buy orders might have been removed. Was there any new LP rewards introduced, though?

So now you can't just sell for a straight forward 1=1. Spend 20 minutes doing a little math. Theres a lot of things that result in 2K+ isk per LP. Sure, you don't get it instantly, but you get a lot more for your money.

i dont know anything about the stores aside from CN and Minmatar lp stores.
doing the math i can think of only 2-3 mods worth trying for. i say trying because the effort is not in line with the reward and the odds of selling them for anywhere near 1.5-2k isk per lp is about the same as me acquiring an eidolon in the next 20 minutes.
seriously don't know wtf zrak was smoking when he and his buddies axed the chips but i sure would like some of it so i can see the wisdom in this. At the very least, FIXED THE BLOODY STORES FFS. . . 1/2 the items are worthless, the other 1/2 can be acquired cheaply on market in form of the pirate version (Domi gear vs RF gear)

Quite a few hardwirings can sell for quite a bit, I'm not sure exactly what those two groups in perticular have. Faction ammo wasn't bad a while ago a few months ago, but I have no idea what thats at now.

the ammo hit the **** fan a while back so i stopped looking at it. dumped my stock and moved on. as for the HW, none in my current corp and from what i see in the other matari corps the sale prices are often below 1k/lp but then again i'll look into it again.
what i do wish is that the devs would stop screwing the status quo w/o providing some decent alternatives! After all, do they really want the entire Eve population to operate out of Saila/Motsu? cuz at the rate its going, those will be the only LP stores worth working for in terms of invested time <-> reward

Im gonna have to join in this petition.
I dont do the nexus chip thing. I found a few things worth mission running for instead.
But if this is not a bug but something intended..WHY WASNT IT IN PATCH NOTES?
These stealth nerfs are just down right rude.
I dont care if it was a good idea or not. It doesnt directly effect me. But previous stealth nerfs have..and i dont want to get hit by future stealth nerfs either.
If they are going to change a game mechanic. (LP for nexus is a game mechanic). They should post it in the patch notes.
bloody bah.

But it does affect you, and all other mission runners. Without nexus chips to sell, all the former nexus chip sellers are going to be selling other lp store goods, driving supply up and therefore demand and price down. This change negatively affects your profits as well as that of all mission runners.

What the ****? Nice ******* joke, I wonder why I even renewed my subscription.
I was working on rep with a R&D corp just for that and now it gets removed without warning. Great job removing our income, as if missions were so entertaining we wouldn't mind getting less ISK per LP.
Oh well, at least we have graphics now! /cry

It's too bad you can't use that R&D standing to make money doing nothing. I sure wish CCP would introduce research agents that give you datacores every day.

People keep saying use some initiative..do a little math, whatever.
There is nothing in the Republic Fleet lp store you can consistantly sell for 1000isk/lp.
If tags were more plentiful then sure, there are several good mods, ammo can be ok but not on a daily basis.
Hardwiring..I have literally looked at each one compared to the market not even close.
Ships, lol.
Maybe I'm missing something, and RF didn't have the chips anyway, but I wanted to chime in on needing to somehow maintain the value of lp's

The LP market shouldn't be artificially priced by some NPC buy order.
Let the market decide the value of goods, that's how it should be.

That's fine, when there's LP store items actually worth selling on the player market. See my post here for an illustration of exactly how worthless the majority of the LP store offers are: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=655279&page=2

Edited by: Guillame Herschel on 11/12/2007 23:12:20 If low-level cruiser and frigate tags were plentiful, instead of being extremely rare, people would cash in lots of otherwise hopeless LP offers. Hopeless, as in it would take so long running level 1 and 2 missions to get the low-level tags, it's not worth the time. No module in any LP store is tasty enough to spend weeks farming tags in level 1 and 2 missions. Not. A. Single. One. Not even professional farmers would do it. -- Guile can always trump hardware -- |

I have to cash in LP(Amarr Navy, Rep Fleet) for less than 1000 ISK/LP all the time. Finding a right offer that is wanted on the Market. Mayby bring it in a other Region, waiting for selling it. Well and now the somebody complains that cashing LP on a higher ISK/LP ratio, without thinking/checking the Marktet to a high constant NPC Price is removed and this will ruin his day. What is the diffrence between LP and ISK for you, for me it is work to cash them in at a variable LP/ISK ratio.
