I can't believe CCP managed to remove my boot.ini file. Utter FAILURE on your part. I wonder exactly how many people this morning are having major computer problems? How many are driving their PC to a computer shop right now to have it repaired? I can't believe this wasn't picked up during testing.. Oh wait... Large companies, CCP, Microsoft.. They don't actually beta test, hence all the problems come release.
No doubt CCP is covered in the EULA for doing such heinous crimes, else I'd be stating one thing; LAW SUIT.

Windows XP Professional x64
I had to do a system restore, which restored my boot.ini file. I'm posting it below for Windows XP Pro x64 users.
1. Create a text file in C:\
2. Open it, copy paste the below and save it.
3. Rename the file boot.ini ignore any warnings.
4. Reboot.. But don't blame me if it doesn't work.. It works for me on a standard Windows install. (I accept no responsibility for loss of data caused by using this suggest fix)

timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]

P.S - I love EVE, love the game, love the community, though, I suggest everyone who has lost data or had to spend money having their system repaired seeks compenstation. "We apologise for this and are working as best we can to find a solution." Simply does not cut it.

Removing a users boot.ini is not a minor error. That's a major full blown FAILURE. This is a classic programming 101 what not to do mistake. Amateur at best! Whoever did it needs to step up, apologise then go back to coding in VB. I wonder if we will get compensation? I seriously doubt it. CCP makes an utter joke of it's players constantly. Where's the love for your own community?
P.s: Good update besides this massive issue, oh and change hulk skins back they look boring now.
