Quote: If you installed the premium patch and didnt reboot yet there's an easy fix. 1. Locate your "boot.ini.backup" file in C:\WINDOWS\pss . 2. Copy it to your desktop. 3. Delete the ".backup" extension so teh file is named "boot.ini" 4. Copy your brand new shiny boot.ini to your root directory. (in most cases c:\)
This worked for me but my backup file was named BOOT.BAK and it was a hidden file in the C:\ drive.
ok i found it and have it on desktop..where do i copy it to now? i am not understanding the last part i guess.
rename it to boot.ini click my computer then C: click tools > folder options click the view tab uncheck hide system files if you see boot.ini in there then copy the boot.ini to your c drive when it asks you if you want to replace the file tell it yes and your done if its not in your c drive do a search for boot.ini

READ THE TOS you have no legal recourse. Second your explnation of how you had a usb harddrive linke to your computer makes no sence.

Nice another ccp fanboi, maybe they should delete your windows directory and see if you still support them.
What if you are american and shut down for the night on the patch, cause of the fact that they informed nobody of their critical error until at least a good 6 hours after the patch? Then you boot up and it will take easy 5 minutes to fix it?[/quote
yes 5 minutes
