Not being all that technically minded it looks as if the PC will have to go and be repaired, no doubt at some cost. Well done. C. Are you able to get through some of the steps in the article here? Yes, but for some reason my PC wouldn't boot from the XP disk. So I delved into the murky world of the BIOS and set to read from CD ROM only. My computer would then only post this message on start up. 'DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER' I probably shouldnt have fiddled with the BIOS, but there you go - if you don't try you can't succeed. (Ive finally got back into the BIOS now and sorted that). Perhaps I've got a hardware fault with my CD-ROM drive? Any ideas on how I should have the BIOS set up correctly? C. Not being a 'techy' (yup sorry about that for those that want to post 'noob l3arn 2 use ur PC') its off to PC World I go at a lovely cost of ú69.99p + vat.
