Hello,
I noticed that the volume for capital modules is now 4000 instead of 1000. Is that a bug or is a change taht Trinity comes with?
I didn't see anything about this on patchinfo page http://myeve.eve-online.com/updates/patchnotes.asp
Thx

I hope it's a bug too cause i have a carrier pilot who can remore energy, shield , armor and hull and i was planning to have all this modules on board to fit depending of the ocasion but hey ... 4000 it's too much.

I think i saw something about fixing mineral compression a while back. I may be wrong but certainly some capital mods use loads of mins to make and is not reflected in there size. And yeh makes it more of a pain to refit

From the second page of the patch notes:
"Modules: The volume of capital modules have been increased from 1,000m3 to 4,000m3 with the exception of the Jump Portal Generator I which has increased from 1,000m3 to 10,000m3." ---

If I remember correctly you could exploit thier size, because building them then refining at your destination meant you could get an insane ammount of mineral space in your ship.
Now they are normal, jump frieghters have a use.

Did jump freighters need a use? Better.. did we need jump freighters?

The problem with that being that you can just fit capital class mods, that are offlined, to a frigate and shove that in a ship bay. I don't see this as solving the mineral compression issue as it can still be worked around.
This makes looting/ salvaging a pain in the butt and nothing else really.

So they nerfed mineral compression from 430:1 to 43:1(or actually 33:1 if it's hauled). That'll teach em! No more point in compressing when you just save 97.6% of all trips.

In this expansion ccp realy ****ed off everyone full of stupid way of fixing problems, there is no logic at all in it....
Now i can't even fit a re-fit for my carrier in the corp hangar, very good, now when i go shopping for a carrier will take me the same time as when i buy a new pos, intresting, very intresting.
CCP this patch was a real real pain in the ass, you even ****** up with installer putting ppl in the situation of risking theyr own files, i never HEARD of a game doing something so crazy like deleting boot.ini for mistake, realy realy crazy.
Thumb down this time. At all, your eye candy are not needed, we want to be able to play without gettin ******* mad.

It was to stop mineral compression.
People could manufacture these items, using a much larger volume of minerals than the volume of the final item. They were then shipped to 0.0, and refined back to their original mins.

And this effected how many people? Sure it was a borderline exploit, but CCP just ****** over a much larger percentage of their players with this "fix".
Same with their "fix" for nos, damps, SBs, TDs (LOL?), etc. CCP is smokin some bad **** lately.
