As far as bugs go, either you need to put charges in those modules, learn to use those drones, or most likely get a computer upgrade atleast once every 10 years. The huge majority of bugs people complain about and never get fixed are those bugs that most of us have not encountered once in the last 4 years. The biggest cause for the complaints about EVE and the way CCP does it is that it is simple a game that is prolly out of these peoples league. WoW is a much simpler game that does not have the burden of "depth". Some of us however play eve for that depth. And as far as the dood crapping his pants about CCP nerfing things without player's input on it... If you had been playing since testing days You would have been around EVE long enough to have witnessed the year of complaining about nosf. The nerf was a result of a year or more of player input. Same for myrmidon, same for Eos. Well other companies somewhat force you to buy it. Sure you can play the old content if you want but your guild and the rest of the server enjoy the new content and you are left to rot alone untill you buy a copy aswell.

"more subscribers at the expense of performance"?? wtf? put it this way, if you keep increasing the number of people on a single server, and you maintain the status quo, then you're doing something damned impressive, if the above was true, you would see a huge increase in perfromance issues accross the board. as it is, i think you'll find that the trinity upgrade now runs BETTER than before, that's not maintaining the status quo (already stated as an impressive feat) this is IMPROVING things - that's more than merely impressive. no other game in existence can do what eve can do. the much touted WoW lags like a snail in superglue when you get a whopping 2000 odd people on a single server, and thats with all their instancing-joy distributing the load. the eve server clusters run with much better graphics, much more complex game systems, and so on. as regards the game community and their ganking and scamming - well this is, like reality, a somewhat brutal world, but unlike reality, people are able to extrapolate that brutality due to the lack of consequences. this is set in a somewhat dystopian future, this is not the bloody smurfs meets the carebares! there are functions in the game to prevent ABUSE of these systems and limit the gains made by things like suicide ganking - it IS suicide after all. the trick to completely avoiding that is to make it so that their loss (their ships) is more than their gain (loot you might drop). frankly i think you got your freighter ganked because you were afk autopiloting into Jita with a bunch of faction gear, and now you've got your undies in a twist. if this is the case, it serves you right - it's one thing to make a mistake, it's another to make a mistake that's been made so often, and has been ranted about by others like you so frequently. on the matter of religion: what the hell are you smoking? your bloody computer chair!? "complain to the church" wtf is that all about? you really do live in la-la land if you think they'll care about "omg, i got beat in my internet spaceships game!"? no. of course not, they have more important things to do (like incite hatred of the other churches). phew, that was quite a rant - i only meant to post a few lines but ended up discecting thewhole of the OP. ah well, it had to be done. ========================================== that's no moon... oh, wait, yes it is, the space station's out the other window.

They are a company and work for a living. That work happens to be eve, dont we all try to make money with our jobs. Aint its ccp its good right to want to boost their finacial situation i think thats pretty damn normal. The new graphics engine is a good step in that direction since new players will come because of that. And just the fact its FREE you should be goddamn gratefull most mmo's charge you for their expansions. CCP has already released several for free so what the hell are some of you complaining about. Oke agreed trinity has caused alot more problems then we bargained for and might have been delayed a bit longer but you cant get all the bugs out with just testing it with a small group since most bugs start appearing when a general public gets their hands on it. So this is most likely the fastest way to get all the bigger problems out of the way. Allthough admitted that the whole boot.ini thing was a complete blunder and should never have happend, but hey nobody's perfect. As for eve having potential, duh. If what is said in the future patch ever comes to be then we are in for one hell of a ride. I really hope eve will go on for many years to come because right now there aint a single mmo space sim online that can compare against eve. Greetz Nata
