Just saying, I know that it is not the correct Dread. And it cannot be one shuttle, it has to be over thirty nine thousand shuttles to be that bright. However, it will still not tank very well.

Well, the stars you normally see in-game are mainly your local stars (seamless map for the win), and you can actually navigate by them, kind of.
While in The Forge, I noticed that the star was in a south-west direction on the mapbrowser. Therefore, if this is physically mapped in space, it should vary its direction, based on where you are lookit at it from.
Four hours of warping around to the four corners of the galaxy later (I was bored, and doing other stuff so just AP'd around Hisec), and no matter where you are, its the exact same direction.
This means either theres one for each system, or the 'star' is very very far outside the galaxy.

if thats the case then its not possible not to be racist and in fact your own argument is then racist as well....
Because if you do nothing then yer being as you say "racist" (even though religions arent races per se I may be Christian but my race is black etc etc) but if you DO do something yer being "racist" to all other reluigions?

Well, regardless of its origional intent, this is a great opportunity for CCP to add some sweet event/exploration content. For example, it'd be cool if it was a comet that moved thru systems at the rate of 2-3 days per system, and was mine-able for gas or something.
Or it could be the an invasion, or provide some sort of Weather effect like system-wide shield damage or blanket jamming strength. The possiblities are there.
I'd just like it to be a resurgance of the Event program: its dissapointing that even new content is quickly posted and turned into just another list of facts.

I can confirm it is not a static background..
You ever jumped through a portal in Jita while having heavy lag? You'd notice that the local game background is loaded before everything else is loaded.. stuff like planets and stargates takes time..
This bright star magically re-appeared when the other planets and gates and stations loaded..
there must be something to it.

I don't know if it was mentioned already, but for me it's quite obvious. You realize the time of the year? It's the Christmas Star. Maybe it will point to something at Christmas. It will be gone shortly after Christmas again.

the milky way doesent have 2 suns but needless to say thats where the first stargates started so needless to say u dont need to see the second sun
