Tarminic Forsaken Resistance The Last Stand	Posted - 2007.12.10 05:13:00 - [1] Greetings forum-goers! This is your friendly forum warrior, here with an exciting new thing to give to you! As you've noticed, this weekend I was hardly on the forums at all, and the reason for this is that I've been crafting an embodiment of astonishingly excellent game design for you! What is this game, you ask? It's a top-down shooter, similar to the Raiden games if you're familiar with them, except very similar to EVE. All ships and their defenses and weapons are based on EVE ships. Now for the details! Current Features Missions: 1 Playable Races: 1 Playable Ships: 3 Ships Maulus, Tristan, Incursus Enemies Kestrel, Condor, Merlin, Caracel, Badger 2 This game is relatively error-free, so if you encounter an error copy the text and post it in this thread, along with when it happened and what version you were playing (Current version on EVE files is 0.7). Granted, this demo isn't too long but it's fairly challenging and should provide you with some degree of entertainment ~~during those boring POS ops~~. I'd also like to thank Krats for much artwork he's contributed to the game's art. Basically, any sprites that don't look like crap are his. Go forth, EVE Players, and play! Space to fire, arrow keys to move, check upper right to see specific intsructions ( ctrl to repair your armor for instance ). D for drone deplying R for drone recalling ( those are the only two I saw offhand ). Hope that helps. Neat game Tar.. oh.. you really should be allowed to go past the edges of the screen. My biggest problem is that as you get into bigger ships your range increases likewise, so I need to have a means for you to shoot at stuff offscreen. I was going to try to make it into this release, but the code for it was bugged so it was only usefull if the enemy was off the top of the screen. Anon Forumalt	Posted - 2007.12.10 07:42:00 - [20] Fun game! But I keep waiting for somebody to make a game that really IS eve online, but offline. Can't be all that hard to make a game in which a looping animation shows your ship flying forward with a gascloud background, while you click an enemy (on your overview), then click several circles for modules to shoot it. Repeatedly. You could even get bounties, and a completion reward, and buy better ships. Hell, you could go all out and have agent reputations and make an effective representation of what mission running in EVE online is like.
