So, we now have a game where its easier to list what is working than what is bugged. Was this worth the Eye Candy?
My original sig was 'Enjoy lag free play in a dynamic space MMORPG'. It was removed for lack of EVE content! ;)

Yes.
The only thing i've been afected by this week is not being able to clone jump around the place. As a positive side note to this i saw Chribba in local on one of my many trips around Eve. Been playing for over a year, never thought such a simple thing as seeing a Celeb from a on line spaceship game would feel like and acomplishment.
POS warefare should stay banned, it sucks. Use Rock paper Scissors to deside Sov instead.

Yes and no. Well, yes because now it is pretty and we zoom around and look at things. But after a while we get back to zooming out where there's just icons to click on and observe to easier get the overview in battle.
In a few months I'm never going to think about the graphics again, and will probably go back to the classic client. But that's me.

Yes. Eye Candy is always worth it. Why, my GF is made of eye candy and she Bugs me far more than Eve.

1) I've experienced a lot of these bugs and problems, and I've been frustated by them.
2) I didn't even download/install the Premium graphics, so I have no shiny stuff to distract me.
But despite all that, I still enjoy this game. And actually, the main purpose behind the whole patch actually seems to have succeeded. I can run Eve without stressing out my CPU as much. And I'm noticing a significant boost in my satisfaction, bugs notwithstanding.

You managed to play for 2 days? :-/ I looked at the eye candy, spent some time buying skills and trying missions (same as ever, nothing new), then went back to forum pvp ...

No, it wasn't.
I'd prefer deep and immersing game with average graphics to bugged to hell piece of software that tries to suck every bit of power out of 8800 graphics card.

Perhaps...
While I enjoy the fancy improvement to the gfx engine I feel th overall impact the patch has had on both the players (the boot.ini and pos issues) and the system impact (massive amount of memory and gfx card stressing) doesn't yield that much improvement. A lot of the changes are skin deep and really reduce the quality of performance even on my high end system. I do like a lot of the little bit tweaks the game now has like the collapsable windows into their title bars and the market collapsing upwards into the top area, those thing I like a lot.
But to be fair I have yet to give the game a really good test drive, at present I have struggled to find the time. When I do I will make a more detailed comment.
So far 7/10 from what I have seen so far.

I don't think the eye candy has anything to do with them breaking other things. Though it may have distracted the testing effort from it.
