Now I realise that back when EVE was new, it was a unique and purely awesome. The graphics were outstanding and the size of the game world was amazing. That was 4 years ago. Now, EVE doesnt have the unique-ness about it anymore, as more and more games come to market. Now, Im not saying EVE has had the biscuit, but only stating that its my opinion that CCP should focus more on content amount, rather then fanfest, and congratulating themselves whenever some backwoods-3rd party gaming magazine decides to issue some award to them.
When exactly do you refer to when you say "back when EVE was new", I was around during it's last beta stages and following release... man you should be on your knees and prying to the gods of development to have what you have now. Back when EVE was ACTUALY new there was nothing else to do other then mining and ganking people. Missions weren't worth a dime there was no invention or exploration no POS and man there were so many bugs around it hurt to see such a good looking game throwing you down every time you fought for more then 2 minutes.
As for having less content added to the game with the recent patchs.... go read CCP's goals for this year and get to know "need for speed" project. It's been announced for a long time now they were supposed to be doing a ratio of 6 fixes for every new feature. Something that has been needed for as long as eve exists, what is worser? having new features filled with bugs that go on top of all ready very old and crippling bugs, or having those old ones fixed and done with and THEN have the new features implemented?
14 bucks for a game that hands their expansions freely is gold now days since every game development house has gone gready'o'maniac and charging 40 or more bucks for every expansion they come with on top of their fees...

$40?For an expansion that's been extensively tested prior to launch.$40 for an expansion that doesn't delete essential files from your PC?$40 for an expansion which isn't crammed full of bugs?$40 for an expansion which doesn't leave 70% of the players scratching their heads thinking "WTF is going on with this game??".
Screw that.$40 is far too much to pay for something that actually works.I would rather have free stuff that doesn't.

Susan Acid you haven't been playing MMORPGs for long have you? that's like what happens in every on-line game.
Take a look at SW:G or Anarchy Online or whatever MMORPG you can come up with, you'll find the same pattern in every single one, patches introduce unexpected bugs, that happens with any piece of software not just games. Even with Operating Systems. This same games also have the same issues regarding content changes or added features that change your experience with the game...
So far I've loved the new UI, just wish we could have the same control over the ships HUD and top left corner system and route information. Regarding the new missions i haven't had the chance to test em but I'll keep an eye on level 3's and report any new military errands i come across for the republic fleet

I've been playing them long enough to know that I've never seen a known issues page as long as the one CCP published with regard to this Expansion.
Regarding the new missions. Why introduce so many lower level missions?I mean,as soon as people have access to the next level/higher quality agent they switch. Most people run 20 or 30 lvl 1 missions then move to a lvl 2 agent.Run 20/30 missions for them then move to lvl 3....etc etc until they get to lvl 4s.

because devs are completely out of tuch with the regular playerbase. why care about the regular player who needs to grind its isk if they can spawn tII bpos whenever they like.

Keeps new players interested.
Say a player can do 8 level1 missions/day. 4 days of that (2 storylines), they have a level2 agent. They now do 4 missions a day, 8 days of that (2 storylines), they now have a level3 agent. 2 missions/day, so 16 days to get a level 4 agent. So thats 28 days total. That is nowhere near enough time for a new player to be flying anything other than a frigate competently.
So a new player is going to be spending a lot more time doing level 1s and 2s than an established player. This makes a greater variety of low level missions important for keeping new players interested in that part of the game.
Otherwise, they get bored. Repetition of the same missions makes buying characters, and buying isk more tempting to avoid the "grind". This is not healthy for the game.

Actually, I have seen one. It's not exactly 'new' tho, it's reintorduced old. Itercept the saboteours, around 50 ships (mostly small ones), heavy ECM (in gurista version), easy with FoF's. Last rat to die drops the stuff needed.

Valid points. Hopefully now that CCP has taken care of nub boredom, next patch they can appease the *majority* of mission runners with some new l4's.
