Edited by: kill0rbunny on 10/12/2007 22:52:11 I mean seriously, did anyone ever complain that sensor boosters where overpowered? What made it so necessary to nerf them?
Atm sitting in a fleet bs lost it's fun completely, I fail to see what the sense in that nerf was? Now we have to tell our people, go on sit in a fleet bs, you will not log anything at all probably, but do it, it's worth it.
I want my sensor boosters back they were nice before.

Good nerf tbh
It actually makes damps more powerful, since every****got and his dog has a speed script or 3 on his caracal, range damps are actually usefull against most ships.
It will screw fleet combat up a lot but we will adapt. Also fun in a fleet bs? if you need your hand held... wows that way...

It's a nerf to counter a nerf.
Sensor damps were "overpowered" so they had to nerf them and make you choose one effect or the other. Since Sensor Boosters are a direct counter, they had to nerf them as well to prevent damps from becoming completely useless.

I believe the nerf was not done to make up for the dampner nerf or something like that but was done to change the way we fight in 0.0 over space. The way we fight over space in 0.0 looks more like ww1 then anything else tbfh.
This nerf almost make mid range setups possible in fleets now. But just almost...
The shorter range you fight at the harder it get to call primary in a efficient way since less will have the range to hit the target in a effective way. This is why when the number grows the long range weapons get better and better in comparison to short range weapons even at point blank range. 20 rail fitted megathrons will obliterate 20 blaster fitted ditto even if the fight start right on top of a gate.
I wish they had nerfed the **** of the sensor boosters and other range enhancing modules, but, well this is better then nothing I guess

If they changed scripts to 120% GOOD effect and -50% BAD effect, I'd be happy

The Sensor Booster changes were a long time coming, it's been years since people said it should be split into two modules, one for speed and one for range, not having both in one, now we do and we don't with the scripts.
Should/would/could have, HAVE you chav!
