You can find a list of additional resources under "Further Reading" on the right hand navigation bar.
Of particular interest, besides the fitting website linked above, there is an incursion forum maintained by StyphonUK on behalf of BTL for the whole incursion community and excellent blogs with incursion-related content by Mike Azariah (A Missioner in EVE) and Ripard Teg (Jester's Trek).

So after reading the guide and getting my Basilisk squared away, got in a fleet no problem at all and had a blast! I was quite happy with payouts and have to say I earn't more in an hour of VG than I do running lvl 4 missions in the same time frame. It was also my first time flying the Basilisk (even though i've been able to fly all 4 logi ships for a while) and enjoyed it just as much as I do when shooting at stuff.
Think i'll be doing more incursions.  |

Thinking about getting into Incursions and I noticed a lack of commandships in this guide. Are Commandships not utilized by most incursion fleets? Or am I just missing it? |

The Slepnir is a pretty good DPS as far as command ships go. The rest you don't hear many good things about.
As far as boosting goes however, most fleet boosters are usually relegated to alt accounts that sit off-grid and do their thing. They usually never get site payouts.

I have also seen the gallente commandship Astarte flying around in shield fleets. Which was quite a surprise, I am however not aware of the fit it uses, but the dps output must be tremendous.

The occasional Slep will get in fleets as its a good ship to have in fleet (shield) occasionally sporting a booster. As far as the astarte. Not sure why anyone would fly those in VG's for the simple fact if they are blaster boating they will have to travel to the target to do that damage. In most fleets the target will be popped by the time it gets in range. Rails... well wtf somes that up.
I'm a gal ***** just recently going up amar / large energy weapons to get t2 on my NM. Fly a vindi if you want gal pawnage. dual web with 15km webbers.
With an offgrid boost, your webs will hit close to 21k and u can single volley frigs in incursions. Tons of fun. just sucks hauling around 675cm'3 of ammo that you will go through in 6 hrs of incursions.
To wear as in my Nm I get new crystals once every new incursion just too... well just because. |

I myself love to fly my nightmare and have never flown gallente or used blasters. So I wouldn't be much wise on that topic!
However I have an idea for you flying your nightmare. In my nightmare I have a small container in which I have extra sets of crystals for when the ones I use break.
The trick is, if you use the same 4 crystals from 0 % dmg to 99 % they will break at the same time and then you can just get a new set from your container inside your cargo.
It really solves a lot of issues with mixing new crystals with old and then heaving one pop every 10-20 min. having you to reload crystals over and over again.
:) Just friendly tip. |
