Like, the earth that stop rotating, then rotate 90¦ in 60 minutes, then restart rotating... What kind of idiot can believe that, seriously?
tbqh, from a scientifical point of view, a sphere that is 6x as large than earth, and moving in retrograde (opposite to the normal rotation of earth) could indeed cause such an effect. it's gravity would pull the earth's rotation in the opposite direction, which would obviously create havoc.

Not in an hour it won't. Not in a day. Not in a week. Maybe in a decade, but even that's a stretch. Stopping the Earth's rotation in an hour would literally throw everyone into orbit and spin off most of Earth's atmosphere and a good bit of it's crust. ---------------- Tarminic - 29 Million SP in pink Forum Warfare |

If anyone would like to see a thoroughly credible debunking of this garbage and a lot of other pseudo-scientific claptrap that gets vomited up from the demented imaginations of delusional minds, have a look at www.badastronomy.com and its associated forum, www.bautforum.com.

Hello. You are to play TIMECUBE, fourth dimension adventure game.
What is a fourth dimension adventure game?
You have played cops and robbers, simple minds say "Lets pretend." You are not simple mind in stupid world, you are to check the rules and octagon numbers. Children are to play "Lets pretend," Aristotle has said 500 years ago "Stories have structure, which average man does not comprehend." You comprehend in the TIMECUBE!!!!
Character Creation:
Your character is cornered, 4-corner head, 1-corner face, 4-corner life metamorphosis.
Race:
In four dimensions, all beings share and know all knowledge innocently. Humans are 1-corner beings (1-corner face 4-corner head) who rotate 4-corner lifetimes: baby, child, parent, g-parent.
Uneducated-stupid race is given from the 6-side orientation of Natures harmonious TIMECUBE. Players can be choosing Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black or Purple. THERE IS NO WHITE IN THE TIMECUBE!!!! Rules for White can be found in upcoming TIMECUBE Sourcebook #1: Now You Can Choose White, Stupid.
Players can have chosen to exist on multiple Sides, but experience suffers. People foolishly look at Experience Deficit table on page XX.
Class:
In unpure world, there is only one class. The class of being EDUCATED STUPID!!!!!! All characters start out as equally educated ********.
Combat:
MORTAL BODIES SLAY EACH OTHER, as they are taught to do by EVIL STUPID EDUCATORS!!!! THE MORTAL BODY CAUSES PAIN. Red White or Green characters can have double-sided combat winnings. Pain and suffering exist to be on Earth. You cannot suffer in other dimensions. Teachers, scholars, learners, they all are to say that your body is real. THIS IS NOT TRUE. Your body is a trap. Life Points measures your animal-sexing body. Life points are based upon a perfect math or your arm would be too short to wipe your butt.
A single blow DAMAGES mortal shell! Roll on D20 to be hurt. If Life Points add up to nothing, you return to CYCLE OF REINCARNATION. If not, your SOCIETY dictates that you SLAVE cause pain back!!!! Roll D20 to determine hurt. Divide past, present, future by four. If your ENEMYS LIFE POINTS equal zero, than you have vanquished! You still exist in the pathetic mortal world!
Campaign World:
The universe began as a swirling mass of nothingness, from which emerged Earth and educators. When the Sun shines upon Earth, 2 - major Time points are created on opposite sides of earth - known as Midday and Midnight. Where the 2 major Time forces join, synergy creates 2 new minor Time points we recognize as Sunup and Sundown.
Ignorance of 4 day harmonic cubic nature indicts humans as unfit to live on earth.
Educators are teaching humans and your characters Evil Cubelessness. Educators cannot allow Time Cube to be known. Academia is '1 corner'. Religion but '1 corner'. 1 self is only '1 corner'. Family has '4-corners' and 4/16 cube rotation. God is a '1 corner' evil. Self-god is 1 cornerism adult scam upon child. Teach 3 equators for a 4 quadrant hemisphere which rotates to a 4/16 principle life creativity as in Family Life Cube.

Disguised mind adventures to fourth dimension to meet SIDES of TIMECUBE. Tells THE SIX of EDUCATED word worshippers in three dimensions who live UNDERGROUND in the DARK. The SIX SIDES journey to UNDERGROUND WORLD and DESTROY uneducated minds!!!! All uneducated minds have gold.
Evil school traps ascending minds to plunder natural resources! It is up to you to free minds, STARTING WITH YOUR OWN STUPID ONE. School is in forest. Characters are attacked by wild warthogs. ROLL TO DAMAGE! Ascended minds are discovered to be just dead brains in jars. Dead stupid brains have gold and magic items.

Well, there's one consolation in all of this: If Darwin's theory is correct, those kind of people (or creatures) will be wiped off the face of the earth in a couple of years.

The most annoying thing I personally found about that kind of cult/person is their sheer lack of perception. They tell you to 'open your mind' but always fail to understand why you don't believe them, claiming you to be some kind of evil/lizard/zombie/**** figure instead

There is no possibly way that a planet as massive or more massive than earth could possibly get this close to Earth without being detected, nor could it just stop the Earth's rotation and then just "resume" it, anything not firmly attached to the mantle would spin off into space.
And what the hell is with this "4th Density?" crap? Yes, I'm sure everyone who lived before 1600 AD was two-dimensional, and after 2008 "all will be revealed."
This is the worst theory ever.
Actually, second-worst theory.
1. About "Detecting it" its not that we need some star trek "Detector" to detect these things. We have known newtons laws for a long time now and our measurements are now very accurate. At one time there was a discrepancy which planet X was one theory on how to compensate. The true answer came from Einstein's relativity not planet X. There is now no room in the equations for some magic planet that will "cross" with us.
2. Your right in that even if there was a planet that "crosses" us it cant just stop the earth and start it again. The raw energy needed to stop the earth would probably range in the "blow up one hiroshima bomb every second for the next 40 million years(if someone actually does the math i will be impressed)" Where is this energy going to come from? and since we got to stop it and start it again we need 2 times that! But then you say anything not attached will spin off. Well...assuming that the earth does stop spinning.. how would things just "spit off"? Gravity still exists. But, if the earth stopped spinning then we wouldn't have a magnetic field to protect us so we would probably "burn off" I am sure there would be many other strange effects.

First of all where does the "6x" come from? Second, If the earth was a perfect solid sphere then any effect on one side will be felt as the opposite on the other side and cancel out any net effect(fields cannot perform work). But, the earth is not a perfect sphere the biggest problem in this case would be the oceans. Such a large body could effect the earths rotation but it could never create the effect described in the video. An example of this effect already exists with our moon and can be found here: http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/question.php?number=124
Conclusion: yes a large body could effect the rotation of the earth but not in a way described by the video.

Simple - The earth is constantly spinning very quickly by terestrial standards, that's why the space shuttle in a geosynchronous orbit is traveling at approximately 3.1 Kilometers per second, this also causes the Coroilis Effect that you can see when a space shuttle takes off. If you simply stop that rotation, let's say over the course of an hour, you are doing the equivalent of applying a massive centrifugal force to everything on the earth. It'd literally fling everything on the surface into space, if not tear the Earth apart completely. ---------------- Tarminic - 29 Million SP in pink Forum Warfare |

The relative transversal speed on the surface would be much less than the same speed on orbit, however. If I remember correctly, earth's circonference is about 42000 km, and it do a turn in 24 hours, so the surface has a transversal speed of 1750 km/hour, so 486m/sec. If that speed was to be brutally reduced, nothing would be put in orbit. The crust plates would probably keep turning a bit, but there would be a lot of friction between the core and the crust, giant earthquakes everywhere, huge continent-sized fissures spewing lava everywhere, and everyone die... ------------------------------------------

Hrm...thanks for doing the calculations for me, I was too lazy to do them myself. However, even assuming that the crust of the earth absorbs three quarters of the force, wouldn't everything on the surface still suddenly accelerate to over 100 m/s, which is greater than terminal velocity? While nothing would get flung into orbit, I can't think of much man-made that would survive intact. ---------------- Tarminic - 29 Million SP in pink Forum Warfare |

I suppose I never thought of it critically, but I agree: I can't see how things would be flung off of the surface of the earth if it stopped suddenly. Everything not bolted to the ground if not the ground itself would catapult laterally at an intense speed, but it wouldn't be at a speed that was faster than it was already rotating.
Gravity holds everything to the ground even while we spin at our current speed. So even if rotation stopped and the surface of the earth turned into a 1750km/hr lateral smear of debri, we wouldn't be launched into space.
We'd still all die though.
