Circumstantial evidence do not necessary support a single hypothesis but can support many. The circumstantial evidence he is portraying support many hypothesis, it just happens that the scientific community supports a certain hypothesis called continental drift since the circumstantial evidence was stronger for that one than "expanding Earth hypothesis" proposed and supported for a long time by S.W Carey.
