Started getting this problem again. This time nearly lost a ship to gate gun fire, disconnecting suddenly, very frustrating.

Got the same problem, startet a couple of hours ago, i have 24mb stable dsl connection... dunno what the problem is though.

Same, I have virgin media cable 2mb, and client crashing every few minutes, no viruses or trojans detected. Eve is unplayable atm
It started after last patch upgrade btw

I am getting the same Issues, random disconnects or extreme lag (probably due to packet loss) and EvE will sometimes go for a few minutes before Tranquility gets refreshed from Status: Unknown to Status: xxxxx Players.
Its odd, I have only noticed it last night as it is the first time I have played in ages. Ventrilo/msn/etc was fine and never blinked.
Oh, and I am with tpg.com.au in Australia.

I did the registry hack that Kronos recommended, and I also enabled Jumbo Frames in my network card properties (6K MTU for my Realtek 8168) and I haven't had a spontaneous disconnect once!
