I think you'll find those wanting to go back to pre-patch graphics are in the minority.
The latest patch colours are far better then the Trinity ones. The ships now look solid and mean, rather than the washed out 'Toys R Us' shades before. 
I would agree that some textures are a little flat and poor in detail but that applied before the colour change anyway. Hopefully the CCP graphics department will revisit some of the texturing and improve them (bump mapping?). This also applies to some of the other racial ships too.
Otherwise great job CCP, a step in the right direction - even more shiney black and reflective silver for Gallente (possibly metalise the remaining blue) if anything.

Well CCP have always said the game should be driven by players, a colour change is minimal. I would agree that the nerfing whines provoked a knee jerk response that went too far and I'm sure CCP will re-balance in future. I have faith in CCP, when that goes its the day I leave (far from that yet).

Funny, the previous bank of complainants assumed the position that ALL Gallente pilots disliked the previous color set. Interesting thing is they had all the same choices you listed here. Instead they chose to complain about the colors on the forums and now we have the result. We are all entitled to express our opinion.
The new ôgrease gunö gray with ôpea soupö green highlights goes too far and removes a lot of the detail in the new models for the majority of ships it was applied to. I think further adjustment is needed so the details so lauded in the new expansion are actually visible on the ships. Either that or reverting to the previous color set would work as well. The silent majority in the past didn't have a problem here.

I agree some people are just never happy.. Besides i do think that CCP has more important matters to attend to then the coloring of ships....IE bug fixes on the current know issue list.

I think that the new colours are a definate improvement over the awful grey and baby blue that we had before. The much darker and shiniermetal parts of the ship are spot on and very reminiscent of what I always loved about gallante ships. I still think that the blue paint needs a little work but it's something that I can live with, I'm sure. Here's hoping that they enable custom paint jobs in the near future as I miss the Caldari red paint too.

Ever thought about spending more time playing with the other game content and less paying attention at the ships, OR play on the classic client? Can't say I blame CCP for not replying in here when they try to do something for the ppls, then to have yet more whines. In an MMO not all ppls are gonna be happy the way 'ITEM X' performs or looks, but judging by the replys here I think CCP have pleased most.

I didn't have much of a problem with the Trinity colors for Gallente, but after the patch, I'm retro-disappointed in them. Now, however, I think they look great.

If you don't like the new models, don't install the premium content. Posting things like "CCP PLZ2CHANGE CALURS!!1!1!" is ridiculous. This is the update, they spent a lot of time creating these models and textures, and decided to use this color scheme, but you want them to redo all of that work? I'm all for whining, but how about whining about the things that matter. I personally think the new colors can go either way, some ships look better, some ships look worse. But these are the new models, and I'd much rather CCP work on something worthwhile, than spend time appeasing a handful of metrosexual pod pilots.

What ever happenned to the flamboyant french origins? Its only the highly polished look that stands out now, the dark metalic grey just blends into the dark crappy green.
Not very Galentte or French.

I fly both Gallente and Caldari. I think there is nothing wrong with the colours.
If your fed up of Gallente colours try Caldari, half the ships are grey, grey, ooo lets just colour that bit dark grey .

No-one would ever make a blasterboat baby blue.
New colors actually suit the ships' purpose, thus Superior.
It's nice that Gallente now get some decent reflectivity on their ships too.
