Looks like our corp is being ransomed. We will not pay it. We are looking for support from other CEO's. We have requested that they retract the war. If they do not retract we are requesting declarations of war on them from other corps.
Here is the letter we have recived.
Greetings my friend. I have declared war on your corporation. I have been paid to do this by a rival corporation. I will be sporadically attacking your industrial ships until the asked ransom has been paid. The asked ransom is 200 million isk, which does not include my fee of 50 million, please forward this amount to me before the end of the week, or action will be taken. Yours, Warn.
He is their CEO. He is a one man show right now with 5 more coming online as soon as war is in effect. People who know us know we are a honorable corp. We are looking for help.
Their Corporation is: Intex Systems and Warn is their founder.
Thank you in advance.

Warn was helping me and a few gang mates destroy some CA ships less than a week ago, he said he wanted to kill pirates. Now he's the pirate eh.

Dont be in a corp if you arent willing to fight since as so many say, corp wars is the basis of EVE.
Fight back, use agents and locate them, camp them in stations until he retracts the war.

So corp wars is piracy
All a matter of opinion, everyone that shoots you is a pirate in your eyes, they may have reasons you know not of

Nah, the surrender option is a trade window, if nothing is demanded then there is no reason to close the war.
Fighting a corp war is just a means to an end imo, in my old corp Tycho heavy industries we had price wars in Domain region with Dark Empire but we were both in Fountain alliance so we couldnt do anything.
Few of us trained up alts for caracals and blackbirds and hit their main system, we demanded nothing and told them we were hired to attack them, they eventually pulled out of Domain region since they could not mine, we got what we wanted.
There was a corp mining in the systems where we opirated so we declared war on them, they pulled out since they could not mine, we won.
It¦s all means to an end, perhaps Old Farts should move their base of opiration and the war will be retracted. Spawn of the Devil

You and I so went to the same school of diplomacy ProphetGuru ;)
And to the thread starter, fear not, most war declarations are extremely toothless. Jericho Fraction has been at war with the combined might of Mercenary Frigates and Foresaken Empire(CA) for the past couple of weeks and we are resolutely uncrushed. (And this from the corporation that everyone likes to call pvp noobs and useless traders). If we can stand tall and face down regional alliance scale bullying of this kind then you needn't fear a penny ante tosspiece scamming it on down. Simply add a combat pilot function to your corporate operations, fund a pvp hanger and concentrate on fighting in cheap ships that can counterattack and harass you foe. Spend a bit of time in counterintelligence and agent spying and begin an PR campaign.
Resistance is a noble endeavour. Never give up. Never surrender. A cause that fights to the last will rise again, whereas a cause that surrenders is gone forever.

The problem is Dalman that the Eve star cluster is undergoing a serious increase in organised tyranny and barbarism funded by the bottomless coffers of regional tyrannies. There is no such thing as a free lunch any more. All industrial corps must realise that a proportion of their profits must go to defence spending. If they have no personal interest in combat pvp then they would be well advised to hire mercenaries and economically aid combatative friends to do the fighting for them. I do not believe there is any future for a corporation that cannot make this adjustment.
A huge struggle is on the horizon. Not everyone needs to be a fighter, but everyone who would know freedom must be prepared to make a few molotov*****tails for the guerilla forces of revolution.

OF is an honorable corp from everything I've seen. Message me up in-game and I'll see what I can do to help you out. It gets old with these one man shows demanding ransoms for dropping the wars. In our experience the only thing they have done is attacking the helpless ships and demand more money. If you pay them you are a perpetual target.
Offer some of your PvP oriented friends a free ride to kill someone. Let them into your corp for the duration of the war and let them have a good time with him. When the war is over they can head back to their previous corps.
In RE: to Omni on the "corp war is a crime" thought. It is NOT a crime, it's perfectly within the bounds of the game and what it is intended to be. But there is a new breed of ore thief out there and it's the "corp war *****." Basically these guys pick out someone they KNOW is not into PvP (like N.A.C working with new players and teaching them the ropes and OF working with industrial ventures) and attempt to extort money from them because they know they can't immediately do anything about it. Of course, you wouldn't know this because they'd have to be ape .... to declare war on you guys.
Again... Feel free to contact me Grey, I'll do whatever I can. ------------------------------------- // The views expressed by this poster are not the views of the poster's corporation, alliance, planet or television network... but they should be. |

SBD is going to help in whatever manner possible. There was a reason I left the Old Farts. Not due to the guys in there, they by far are still my best ingame friends, but rather due to the fact I wanted to continue with the pvp action. Almost half my skillpoints are gunnery/missile oriented. Easier for one person to go, than sacrifice the entire group, and potentially lead to their downfall.
If they keep it up, will declare war on them and shoot the buggers.

There are merc corps out there for a reason. If you don't want to get your hands dirty leave it to corps like mine to do it for you.
You cannot expect people to risk a ship for you unless they somehow gain something in return.
Contact Shamis CEO of SNIGG if you would like the problem taken care of. We are very efficient at our job and our price is fair. SNIGG is now officially open for business. We are a merc corp looking for contracts. For more info click below http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=68313 |
