I'm suprised you don't already know what day it is. The 30th is a great time to celebrate december the 29th. What's so special about the 29th you say? It's the day I cleaned my house. As such an important event, it's natural to have friendly competitions and so forth in the spirit of the day, and I suggest having a who cleaned gojyu's house the best competition, with 100mil isk as the prize money. I also put to you that I am the clear winner of such a competition, as I can say with absolute certainty that no-one in eve history has ever cleaned my house better than I, and I'd even go so far to say that no-one in the grand history of the game has ever even been able to attempt such a feat. Given that eve has something in the realm of 250k subscribers, I believe that being the only 1 in that multitude to have even the ability to attempt such a task makes me more worthy than anyone to claim the prize

So m'friends, you have just a little over 17+ hours left before I apply some Minmatar engineering on the suggestion box. If you haven't participated yet, do so now.
Also, it seems that I might just be able to look through the suggestions and possibly even pick a winner right after 20:00. I reserve the right delay it by 27+ hours though, as previously stated. You gotta love people who have wifi and don't mind you bringing your laptop to their place.

I had the winning entry all typed up in notepad, but wouldn't you know, my computer crashed and I hadn't saved, so my previous entry will have to do. This post is now just a happy birthday wish and a lame joke (see above).
Congratulations on getting that new macbook for your birthday - I guess losing that long post you had going in notepad was the last straw. Although, of course this means you lose the unspoken bet we had that you would never buy a mac and you now owe me that navy mega. |

Alright, time's up. Been up for an hour and a half, but that's beside the point. Sadly I'm in no condition to pick a winner right now and I don't really feel that I have the time anyway.
I'll get a good night's sleep and do my magic in the morning. In the meantime I suggest you get your hopes up.

What, no clear winner? WTF?
I really want to see a winner. Seeing how I'm incapable of deciding and in the spirit of this contest I yet again leave this up to you. If you three can decide who the winner is I will give another 100M to that person (so I'm handing out 400M in total ). It stands to reason that you might want to split this bonus equally, but that's for you to arrange, I'll take no part in it.
So. Anwar Krishna, Ethereal spacecowboy and TheSystem, discuss this and decide who won, then evemail the name of the winner to me. If I see the same name in all three evemails I will transfer the 100M to that person.
Why am I doing this? Simple, the potential for plotting and backstabbing is simply too good to pass up. I will not get involved in this in any way, it's up to you to coerce the other two to pick you. It is also entirely up to you to ensure you get part of the bonus and to exact revenge if when you don't.
This is purely optional, I don't mind if you decide to skip this. Could be fun though, and I want all the gritty details if things get messy!

First and foremost, I would like to thank Mad Hermit Inc. for its generous hosting of this event so far... it seems to me, however, that the bonus round is destined to be winnerless.
Ethreal spacecowboy is seeking to change the conditions of the competition, which I doubt will end favorably, and TheSystem seems reluctant to split the money with us other two, according his evemail.
I've had fun participating... any excuse to do a little coding is a recipe for a good time in my book.

i actualy forgot to say thank you very very very much to the mad hermit inc. so hereby thank you very very very much mad hermit inc for hosting this event.
and as far as changing the rules of the competition as previously mentioned, since i consider all winners(this includes myself ) to be extremely gready/fame seeking i thought that finding a way not including us three in the decision making would be best. this to ensure a quick and decisive ending to any quarrel or dispute regarding the rest of the prize. But i can imagine leaving the fate of any further prizes beyond the 100 mil we already gained to the forum would be a dangerous propotition to more than one of the three. I mean who would want the fate of their purses hanging by the wim of a large number of people they could not possibly hope to control.
again best of luck and thank you to all participants and mad hermit inc
p.s. i am very drunk so excuse my typing mistakes pls p.s.s. i already punished youre iskies accordingly defiler

Well, barring a really good argument, a three way split is the only way I see any one of us getting anything out of this. If we try to decide on just one person getting it, chances are greed will prevent us from agreeing. Hell, chances are greed will prevent us from agreeing anyway.
And no, I'm not withdrawing.

My argument is that you are a young character and cannot effectively use an additional 100mil. You already have far more money than you can really use without wasting it, and wasting our time. I'm not trying to be greedy, i'm trying to be real. Ethereal spacecowboy and I have real stuff to spend it on, stuff that costs hundreds of millions of isk. We can effectively use the money, right now (not 3 months from now) so I believe one of us deserves it more than you.
Again, not greed -- Realism.
Thats my argument, whats yours?

The problem is, this is part of the competition, and defiler told us three to work it out between ourselves. Other people do not count, as far as I know.

Correct.
There seems to be some minor confusion about the specifics. I wanted you to deliberately nominate a winner (yourself or any of the other two), just accidentally mentioning them doesn't count. Didn't think that it could be interpreted differently, my bad I guess.
So, there has been talk about splitting the bonus equally by nominating a mutually trusted third party. I was afraid this might happen, and I understand why. But... Well... Getting a winner "my way" would bring some form of closure, as opposed to giving the ISK to someone I've never heard of before. So I'm somewhat opposed to this idea. After all, if you're going to use a third party I might as well forget about it and give you 33.3M ISK each (I suppose I'd have to up the prize pool to 100,000,000.02 so that no one feels left out).
But what the hell, I'll play along. Feel free to vote for a third party if you wish.
The question is, can you trust someone that your enemies also claims to trust?

okies then slightly worse for wear due to a nights drinking, if we are supposed to figure out a winner then how about this to my fellow winners, cause i aint up for splitting the pot equally first off: -Cause i like seeing this through to the end -Second cause im a greedy git and need the money -Third it's way funnier 0.o
i suggest this we all (that is us three) pick a winner on our own and mail him to defiler this winner NOT being youreselves
the guy with the most votes wins 2/3 third of the prize the guy with one vote get's 1/3 and the other guy nothing xtra and if the votes are equal we go at it again
if you cheat and nominate youreselves you forfit the prize nice and random. no need for a third party splitting the pot wich i think is a load of ****(<-- not the S word)
and guess what no need for a ref cause we would simply be mailing defiler with our choices hehehe (something i think he wanted us to do initially ) Those that dont think minmatar ships are flashy never looked down my cannon barrels shortly after me pushing this very big red button in my display. |

D'Oh, didn't think of that! The cop that pulled me over on my way home found me sober and in good enough shape to drive, but apparently that doesn't mean that I'm thinking clearly (guess I shouldn't have been driving then either huh?).
Let's do what Ethereal spacecowboy suggested. You can only vote for either of the other two winners (no third party or yourself). If you get two votes you get 2/3 (66.7M) and is declared the final winner, one vote gives you 33.3M and second place. Third place (no votes) gets nothing. (hey don't complain, you've already won 100M, remember?)
If everyone gets one vote we go again until we have a winner, I come up with a plan B (no wait, plan C) or I'm fed up with the whole idea and call it off. Any votes you may have cast before I post this are discarded of course, please vote again.
Now I think I'll go lie down for a bit...

Well yes, I'd say he's fairly trustworthy.
But try to see it this way: A.) We don't have to bother The Man with this, B.) play your cards right and you're pretty much guaranteed the 1/3 you want and with a good chance to get 2/3, and C.) you can plot, scheme and betray in the process, all you gotta do is use that big(?) thing between your ears. What's not to like?

more fuss, more risk, more fun ^^
any of the 3 can choose a winner (even him/herself)
a) p1 gets all 3 votes -> p1 gets all of the additional 100m b) p1 & p2 vote for themselves, p3 votes for p1 or p2 -> p3 gets the whole 100m c) p1 votes for himself, p2 & p3 vote for eachother -> p2 & p3 get 50m d) p1 votes for himself, p2 votes for p1, p3 votes for p2 d1) -> p2 gets 66,66m and p3 gets 33,34m d2) -> p1 gets 33,34m and p2 gets 66,66m e) each one votes for another one -> p1, p2, p3 get 33,34m f) p1 votes for p2, p2 & p3 vote for p1 -> p1 gets 66,66m and p2 gets 33,34m
did i miss any options?
basically anyone could risk to vote for himself and could get the whole 100m. the difference between d1 (vote for yourself disqualifies if you dont get both other votes) and d2 (vote for yourself gives the single person that votes for you this money)
well anyways, just some thoughts to add some spice ^^
if its too confusing, i will gladly try to clarify the idea/mechanism :)
