Or maybe you just suck at pvp, because we seem to be killing Vagabonds on a daily basis.
Here's small selection of proof:

Vagabonds are fine, and so is speed.
Eve is being dumbed down for dummies.

Yes, it does in fact look like you managed to blob a couple of vags. Cookie?
Congrats on proving my point.
I just knew there would be someone like you. Presented with proof that vagabonds can (and are) killed on a daily basis you resort to the old 'but I cant kill them solo in my drake/battleship/*insert shiptype here*'
This is why Eve is a multiplayer game, where working with a gang pays the best rewards. Ofcourse using tactics and team work must be an alien concept to you, so dont worry your pretty little head about it.
Eve is being dumbed down for dummies.

I really don't understand your point here. Why is it imbalanced that you have to play BETTER than someone in order to catch them? Would it not be sad if you got caught by people playing WORSE than you?
Is that not the whole crux of what PVP is all about?? Playing better than other people?

It can always try without risk.
They are not overpowered in terms of killing power because half assed fitted ship can usually drive them away. They are overpowered in terms of invulnerability and griefing power. They enable to try picking easy targets without worry about tough ones.
So can recons, so can a gang of inties, so can a gang with covops scout, this really isnt a advantage unique to nanocuisers. But then I suppose you'll be wanting all of those nerfed as well? just as soon as you're done ruining HACS.
Picking your targets is sort of a fundamental skill required of a good FC. Ofcourse it will be easier in more manouverable ships, hence HAC gangs as opposed to BS gangs.
I'm sure your intentions are not to kill diversity in eve, but that's what you are doing. By removing the option to roam in hit and run gangs and cause disruption to enemy fleets. By forcing everyone to blob up in ever bigger and blobbier gangs.
The way some people talk its as if a gatecamp has been a complete failure unless it wipes out every last enemy ship that passes through it. I for one dont fancy gatecamps that are 100% efficient, as there would be no more point in attempting to roam.
Stop trying to make the game fit your mode of play, and join the rest of who us who are having fun.

Whole thing is not about tanking ability. It is about getting fight.
If nanoship pilot wants a fight, he's in advantage. If he doesn't, he is also in advantage and big one. If there is fight going, speed tank isn't really that overpowered.
Why you repeating this speedtanking is ok nonsense? Do you realise WHERE the speed problem is or not?
So you want to nerf speed not because its overpowered but because it enables people to choose when they want to fight?
Maybe we should also nerf scanners and local. That way we can all run around blind without knowing where the blobs are.
And maybe eve could be turn based when combat agression starts, that way noone could ever run away.
Brilliant idea!

I'd say nanoship's ability to pick only favorable fights is heavily overpowered. They should be able to pick fights but certainly to lesser degree.
I'm sorry but i disagree with you.
There should be some responsibility with the pilots who are being engaged by these nanoships.
9/10 times its some ratter who has completly ignored his corp/alliance/intel channel and deserves to be podded.
But instead they come to this forum and cry about nanoships being overpowered. Everyone is able to avoid getting ganked by nanogangs, it just means getting organised and communicating with your corp/alliance mates.

That's your right. My right is to call nanos overpowered. Fact that ppl are ignoring intel about incoming overpowered ship is completely irrelevant to this issue.
No you see, it isn't irrelevant to this issue.
You said that you want speed nerfed, not because its overpowered in combat, but because nanoships have an easy time picking and choosing their fights.
In reality though, there are much better ways of picking and choosing fights, which have nothing to do with the ship you fly, or how you set it up.
This is called intel. Intel is a part of the game, and all balancing issues should be viewed against the wider backdrop of eve.
If some fool gets caught in a asteroid belt because he wasnt paying attention, should we blame the ships that were used to find him? I dont think we should.
You yourself have already said that most half-decently fitted ships could drive a nanoship away, and that in combat you dont consider them overpowered.
So surely nerfing speed would then make them underpowered in combat situations, and they would need some kind of damage boost to compensate?

You DONT fit nano your DEAD it really is that simple, and it should NOT be like that
/signed
so fix blobbing and gatecamps.
leave nanos alone.

This is about PvP. PLAYER vs. PLAYER. If you like flying with all guns blazing, accept possibility you can die. If you are not pro, you should lose approx 50% of fights, because other player should win sometimes too. If there is lots of winning, there is lots of losing too. Accept that.
Defending ship or setup because you might be losing more without it is... well... not very well thought. You acknowledge you might not be as pro as you try to pretend.
I'm sorry, I must have got the wrong end of the stick, because I thought you were talking about actual gameplay balancing, not fictional 1v1 balancing.

The real problem, and the reason nanoships exist, is that pilot survivability is imbalanced with the tools available to stop them getting away.
We have:
webbers scramblers disruptors small bubbles medium bubbles large bubbles interdictors heavy interdictors
and more. When warp stabs were nerfed people needed a way to be able to move without having to form a blob in order to do it. Hence the rise of nanofits.
Now you want to take away speed as well?
Have you really thought through where you want this game to go?
