Seriously I just realized that I misspelled my character's last name and it should read Widowmaker instead of Windowmaker.  Anyways I can't start over again because I am nearing the end of my learning skills and all save one are skill rank 5 now. I put way to much time into this guy to just start over again. 
P.S. I haven't pvp'd or done anything major save run a few missions.

I wouldn't count on it, but you can always try asking politely. The worst that will happen is they will say no.

I find windowmaker offensive - but I'd have to be so offended that I was prepared to petition it.
Under normal circumstances, this is the only way to get it changed, but still you might get a kindly GM who will do it for you. No harm in asking.

You MIGHT be able to, so long as you have no "history" in EVE i.e Chribba and/or SirMolle would likely be turned down.
If it's due to the fact it's mis-spelled by one letter, then you might have a case, although if it was just you didn't like that name anymore I doubt they would.

If you just created the character then they will more than likely change it for you. If you have too much history then they don't want players changing their names to avoid their past.

They will chance your name, but it will go to something like caldari citizen 1102 or amarr citizen 2495. Yes i know i can spell citizen

Oh well. At the very least I made some of you folks laugh. Anyways I hope my gm petition works because like I said I haven't done anything with this guy other then train skills and run a few npc missions. The reason I made to this guy was for pvp and I wanted a nice sounding last name to instill fear but comically it didn't work that way due to a typing error. I guess that's one of those sad but funny moments in life.
P.S. Feel free to petition my name and say that it's offensive to all the real hard working window makers in the world and the work that they do for society.

They will fix capitalisation errors, but actually changing the name is only done if offensive.

I'm pretty sure widowmaker is already taken, so if you are trying for a name change, I'd run a few searches to be sure you have an available one in mind.

Don't be afraid to be a Windowmaker....Just put windows where they aren't intended to be....like in the side of that guy's ship....he'll quit laughing soon enough.

Windowmaker should be peititionable since its two words and as far as i can tell you aren't supposed to do that. But then again so is Widowmaker so i dunno if you'll get anywhere with that.

For the longest time in SWG, I ran around with the title "Homemaker" as a bluff. And then stuff happened that's been beaten more than the proverbial horse.
