19 shuttles killed and 45 rookie ships killed give or take a few that may not have been part of the battle but most were.
Way to go Goons you just lost a titan km :P and we didn't even want that titan anyway
then can i have it, i could really use the isky :)
Sorry it's got T2 mods on it, come back in 3 months

You can just throw 47 (or whatever) billion isk away? God, look, you've won this game: Go and find another.
Pure Smack.
And by the way: Wasn't this an IAC system? Where are the IAC people posting? All of the Goons vs BoB egotistical chest-beating is getting old.
Can someone provide a link to the Killboard(s). I would like to see the battle outcome for myself: There'd be less chaff than this forum.

Mad props for once again bringing along a ton of shuttles and rookie ships with no other intent than to lag out the system.
Shame, as you could have bagged a titan.
Back this statement up.
Ok how about this one:

Etc etc
Yet still the little Goonbleat warriors are whining about the lag and node overload. It's amazing that even with the odds stack so far in their favour they still manage to fail so badly.

Not as epic as you would think... 5 minutes to lock something, 30 minutes - 1 hour to jump into the system.... logging in dead.
They got lucky with the node crashing, regardless of who's fault it was, we had dreads in system 10 minutes before the node went down. Their support fleet could rep him through the damage of the BS fleet + support, but they wouldn't have lasted long against the DNs.

i was in a noobship because i had no remaining usable ships in 49-, got podded few mins before the fight started, docked, and wanted a piece of the cake rather than staying inside the station, guess I'm stupid right?
Shrike got lucky, that's about it.
If that gives a morale boost to BOB than I hope this luck doesn't disapear so soon because delve is becoming pretty blue without bobbits in it :(

Originally by: Vengal Seyhan There's an attribute they don't list in the Titan description: "When deployed will attract so many friendly and enemy fleets that 'stellar events' (aka Node Crashes) inevitably occur"
It's called the Node-Crash Day Device; every Titan pilot has one fitted. It's like a huge bug zapper that attracts 10,000 flies all at once and then blows up causing not only your front porch to disappear but the entire surrounding 8 blocks of neighborhood. *Poof* Neighborhood gone, but in this case just the whole node.
Anyway props to BoB Cap ship spider tank! Shrike probably has a full set of high-grade Slaves and Boosters (Drugs) also besides the multi-billion officer mods. I mean what pilot wants to go down in EVE history as losing two Titans?

So those three ships that weren't even in the target system managed to lag out 49-? I know eve has some server troubles from time to time but I've got a hunch they can handle THAT.
Yep did a doublecheck those three are the only rookie/shuttle kills on the board during that time period.

Originally by: Molle This event started with our fleet (roughly 70 strong) got sandwiched in between two various fleets of 100+. Fleet was in 407, hostiles in 49 and 407.
We decided to set the hostiles up for some capital action, quickly gathered a few capitals, inclduing titan. 13 carriers/mommas and 1 titan prepared as the fleet warped to 49 gate, into a dictor bubble, and mwd'ed through the bubble to 49 gate.
On the other side, hostiel fleet is waiting for us, as well as the 49 hostiles. We fire the cyno in 49, drop titan in, and fire dd, carriers arrive on the scene anout 10 seconds after the titan. Most all hostiles are stuck in their own bubble, and as soon as the dd has been fired, our fleet jumps to 49 (loosing a few in the process of jumping, as the timing weas critical). This is the starting event.
We loot the field, and, camp the gate, dd hit well. After about 15 minutes, the hostiles have gathered up more pilots, and they jump into us. Local goes from 80+ to about 250 in 10 minutes. We stand and fight on the gate. Me, personally, loaded perhaps 20 ships during this whole event, and targetcalling etc was not really possible, the standing order was "shoot whatever you load".
At 1 time, we had a carrier going to 30% armor before the spidertanks kicked in, at two different times, the titan was made primary, and stripped of shields, titan never came below 98% armor. Command modlue lag was 10 minutes more or less exactly, so dd-timing was more then tricky. I actually clicked the dd button 10 minutes before my timer was up, and the command went through 10 mins later.
3 doomsdays later, and 1 servercrash later, this is what you get.
The aftermath
After the servercrahs, the order was given to our capitals to hold, until we got a proper overview of the situation, ie, wtf is in there and how many? After about 25 minutes (yes, it took 25 mins to actually get a scan done), local is up to 700+ hostiles, and the call is given for capitals to go to rest, and for fleet to move to 8qt.
Serverlag aside, this would have been a much better fight, if both sides would have been able to load/jump/cyno into the system and actually load stuff.
I for one is happy with 3 very good dd's, and the scotch was good. Capitals have now moved back to delve, for some much needed refueling.

There are ships killed on gate trying to get into 49-u. Add in the several dozen more inside 49. I almost thought this was kisigo....
In total - roughly 60+ noob/shuttle. Add in crappy frigs that cannot combat within smartbomb range and you are looking at several hundred useless people in system.

I died on that gate in an Ares (normally I would have gotten through, but lag... ) becauese I was trying to get into system to get my Scorpion in the station in 49- (where I had most of my ships, since that's the system we've all been basing out of). I suspect more or less the same was true for pretty much anyone who died on that gate.

Useless, as in useless for the particular battle. For example, interceptors would be quite useless, thus weren't supposed to be there.
Not only was there an order to not be there unless you were in very specific classes of ships that were deemed necessary, but there was also an order to shoot any and all pods that idled on grid (friendly or hostile) to reduce lag.
