This was on the Player News Center:
A representative of Band of Brothers High Command stated "For 3 hours and 30 minutes Shrike was pinned down on the gate. Several unconventional alliances where made at that point, like Mercenary Coalition showing up fully blue with their 'arch enemies' such as GoonFleet, Against ALL Authorities and Red Alliance". The Titan's Doomsday device was fired twice more during the battle, while numbers eventually reached over 800 ships with Band of Brothers outnumbered at approximately 1:9.
As more ships were preparing to join the assault, what is believed to be an unexplained solar event occurred that instantly caused all ships in the system to suffer an electrical malfunction, resulting in them disengaging and leaving the battlefield.

Ironically it was Bob's enemys overzealosness in bringing so many extra ships that saved Bob's titan. I mean everyone knows the node is going to crash with that many trying to fight it out. Why was 2 or even 4 to 1 odds not enough? Someone needs to sit their conmmanders down and have a little talk about strike force numbers. Say send in the 2 to 1 odds ships and if they fail then send in another wave and another until there is no enemy left. But hey then a real fight might happen and we can't have that now can we.

Hi guys, we've had a titan tackled for over 3 hours and it's going to die. Please don't come. Yeah RIGHT. It was clearly BoB's fault for not warping out all of their ships except for the titan to reduce the lag.

So why did you need reinforcements? Keep them a system out so the combined total of ships doesn't crash the node and only send in more to replace losses? Or are you saying that people smelled blood and were going to get on the titan kill mail whether it crashed the node or not? If the latter then you guys really need some discipline in your ranks.

lol, I love it how some people still blame BoB for having headaches and rashes.
Nodecrashes happen to everyone. If you want to blame somebody, blame the server cluster for not being able to handle the type of warfare game-mechanics encourage.

i don't know what's worse, the fact we're put into situations that cause the server to die on its arse in the first place, or the fact it happens so often we have a role playing reason for it happening.

800 pilots kills nodes.
All they had to bring was a Vigil and two Caldari shuttles. As long as the shuttles maintain a lock on the Vigil and the Vigil is armed with rails it gets a hidden bonus against Titans. It's damage is multiplied by infinity. Freemasons told me.

Yeah. People complain about this for some reason, but if someone can show me another MMORPG that can handle 800-player battles all in the same area without crashing (let alone without lagging), I'll lick your boots clean for a week.
