Is it possible to gather all your ships at one station?
It is driving me crazy having to travel all over the universe to pick up my various ships.
I tried creating a courier mission, but apparently ships are not supported yet :(
I have also tried creating a "phony" character to transport the ship from A to B, but since you cannot trade a ship when you only have one, this option doesn't work either.
Any help would be appreciated...

there is a way to do this. as you approach a station to dock select eject from ship but DO NOT press confirm. As soon as the voice confirms your docking press the eject button. You ship will then dock and you will be outside in your pod. travel with the pod (it has slow speed) to your ship in another station and dock as usual

Just dock with the pod in a station where you dont have another ship and you will get a newb ship. It saves you time! __________________________

Yeah, thanks for helping out on that one. I just tried it out and it works perfectly...
It's going to be great having all my ships in one stable :)

If you want to travel faster do this instead:
* Undock in your ship * Eject and dock in pod * Activate pod in station * Undock * Mount the ship and dock again
You now have a brand new spanking newbie ship and it sure goes faster than a pod ;)
When you have 2 or more ships in station , put all your ships except your active one either into corp hangar or give it to a trusted friend while doing the above operation.

Hopefully The Interbus is coming in the next patch.
This will allow you to transport your character from station to station without need of a ship, so you can park you current ship and then go off and get the next one.

If you don't like having your assets screen cluttered up with junk ships and pods, here's another way to do it. You'll need at least 1 pod and 1 indy or other ship with a cargo hold of 1000 m3 or larger.
Make sure there's a pod at the station you're planning on gathering all your ships at. Get in your industrial and fly out to where the ship you want to move is. Board the spare ship and fly it back to your central base. Activate the pod at that station, and fly it out to where you left the indy. Activate the indy, and put the pod in it's cargo hold. Fly indy back to your central base, unload pod. Repeat for all scattered ships. Slow, but effective if you're a neat freak.
You can deal with spare newbie ships scattered around in much the same way, but it's much simpler: fly the indy to the station with the newbie ship. Activate the newbie ship and leave the station. Eject from the newbie ship. Right click on the newbie ship once you've ejected (NOT the pod, the ship. Very important.) and select 'self destruct'. Dock the pod at the station, activate the indy, put the pod in the indy's cargo hold, and head to the next newbie ship.

Is there a better way to do this now? does this solution still works? Is the Bus system working?
I am asking because those posts are pretty old: June 2003

WOW!!!
anyways, i don't expect that patch to arrive any time soonÖ What i actually do is use shuttles. they're the fastest ship in the game if you want to hit autopilot and go AFK. They're dirt cheap and very worth the effort.
Actually, to tell you the honest truth. frigate blueprint originals AREN'T that expensive in the larger scheme of things and you'd be doing yourself a huge favour by mining massive scordite (or trading) to finance your n00b manufacturing operation.
-------
As for what is the biggest priority? calling a base "home" that has a factory. it's very important to have this, otherwise you're going to be stuck with being a dockmonkey for a long long time. (make sure it's near a system with 0.7 security or less; for kernite for it's mineral content) ______________________ Best darned links ingame and out (backup) |

Wow, you guys are making it much more complicated than it really is. Just dock at your home station, buy a shuttle for a few thousand isk, assemble it and get in, fly to a station with a different ship, make THAT one active, trash your shuttle, fly back to home base, rinse and repeat.
