Why are people still complaining about amarr?

I just dont understand all the whining, people just wont be happy till they ruin eve.

Of course if you compare Amarr pro with Caldari n00b, Amarr look good, but what' the point in that?

Antonia Frak	Posted - 2008.01.12 12:15:00 - [6] Amarr complains because they can't pwn basically armor ships (EM resistance is high) but they don't tend to say publicly that they indeed pwn shield tanked ships like no other can do. I understand fleet engagements are mainly done with armor tanked ships but in those situations being called primary means death in 5 seconds regardless you're shield or armor tanking. BTW Amarr dps and alpha strike is the highest in the game. Amarr ships have their pros and their cons as every other race, tend to excell against some ships and tend to loose against others.

Posted - 2008.01.12 12:57:00 - [12] Edited by: Rodj Blake on 12/01/2008 12:57:09 People are still complaining about Amarr because a long time ago the devs accepted that they were lacking oomph, and they said that they would be working on stuff to get that fixed. Then, when the Khanid mkII ships came in, they again said that the rest of the Amarr ships still needed some oomph, and that they were looking into it. Likewise with the modest boost to pulse lasers a little while ago - they said that this wasn't the promised oomph change. Since then, nothing. So the issue isn't whether or not Amarr ships need boosting, because the devs have said in the past that they do need some oomph. The issue is that the devs seemingly don't know how to give us that oomph. Unless of course when they say "oomph" they're referring to the sound that you make when you're being kicked in the ribs... Akita T Caldari Navy Volunteer Task Force	Posted - 2008.01.12 13:26:00 - [15] The Paladin is a meh-ok ship, but the dev's compulsion to make all marauders "similar" hurt the Paladin. It could have used the tracking bonus, but for targets VERY close, indeed, a web bonus is better. The capacitor capacity bonus was inherited from the base ship, and as such it was kind of unavoidable. The tanking bonus was unavoidable too. The Paladin needed the damage bonus, or else it would have fallen badly compared to the alternatives. So the only bonus up for debate right now is the web bonus. The problem with the web bonus is that under normal circumstances, it only applies to targets CLOSER as 10km... and when your OPTIMAL with high-damage crystal on your SHORT range weapons is almost 15km, I can bet 10km is not a range you WANT to be in to begin with. Changing it to a tracking bonus would help hit targets at all ranges, especially those farther away. Changing it to a 10% web RANGE bonus would mean a HUGE improvement in the 10-15km ranges, which is exactly where Paladin really needed the help. So my simple suggestion on how to make the Paladin better while not completely overpowering it is to simply switch the web strength bonus into (at least) a +10% web range bonus. 1\|2\|3\|4\|5.

Everyone has there own ideas but generally they are not too bad, in fact the amarr BS are very strong. At cruiser level they seem to be lacking, more to the point the laser boats at cruiser level are lacking. I guess a lot more people fly in this ship class than fly in the BS ship class. Hence whines.

Fun fact: my "speed tanked" PvP ship has an EANM II on it. Three guesses as to what ship, and the first two don't count. Just about every armor tanker with a pulse uses EANMs. While EM may or may not be the low res on a given armor tanked ship, it's still rarely going to be so low that lasers are going to be the must-have weapon system, even on ships which have laser-related bonuses. After seeing him post in every Amarr thread, and trying to turn every other thread in Ships & Modules into an Amarr thread, I've come to the conclusion that JoJo is either the worst eve player ever with Amarr, or actually a cunning attempt by someone to whine amarr with such ferocity and relentlessness that no one will ever want to see them boosted. He is actually anti-amarr. Eagerly awaiting the JoJo thread on why the Amarr shuttle is the worst of all of them.

It's known to be that bright sometimes that it burns holes right through other races ships that are exposed to it. So yeah, they rock for that reason.
