Lame. Doesn't matter how you look at it, it's lame. When you agree to do a trade transaction, you should stick to the rules. If you don't, you are a thief and a scammer. Using some undocumented and unintended game mechanics will add you a nice title of "sploiter" to the first two. You can talk about honor all you want, but desire to get a free Titan using some questionable game mechanics speaks louder than 1000 posts about honor.

Originally by: Zorland Edited by: Zorland on 14/01/2008 23:46:23 The moral of the story is: never trust a Russian (RA,UNL,Legion,UR etc) because even though he is blue to you, and you paid for protection, and he placed a bid at online auction as highest bidder, and you trust him and consider him a friend, he will still try to abuse game mechanics and take your stuff. Worst then a corp thief tbh, and then they call someone a hyena....
This is a stupid generalization. Not all Russians are in those alliances happily bandawgonning in the war, and not everyone in those alliances is Russian. However RA are known for their "creative" use of game mechanics:
logoffski, farming bugged static plexes for billions per day, now the Titan trick.
And they say that it's because the victim was not "real friend", they just paid for protection and that means it's ok to scam them I guess, "real friends" should have given you the Titan for free

Edited by: Estephania on 15/01/2008 17:27:34 RA & friends emo rage because GM's didn't let them to exploit a bug is priceless. I guess sploiting is ok in their books if you are not caught by a GM. One member of xxxsomethingxxx is actually flaming ppl because they didn't know about a bug and at the same time admits that the whole stunt was planned beforehand. I think you guys should be happy that the GM only returned a Titan and didn't ban one of your pilots with restless and creative mind. Add to the drama the fact that this whole scam was aimed at an alliance who paid RA for protection. They've got real value for their ISK.
Now it's clear how good are the "good guys"

I think that is how it happened:
When you hit a space that is already occupied by something, you are launched at an incredible speed in a random direction. What determines the rate of your slowing down is the inertia of your ship - massive ships will fly longer distances because in Eve space/water physics the rate of their deceleration will be slower. RA probably scouted the POS and saw that there's no place for a Titan to be ejected from the array without hitting some other POS module (Titan is not a small ship after all). That's exactly what happened. the Titan was launched on the space that was occupied by something else and was shot out of the POS shield at the interceptor speed. Obviously GM's returned the Titan, so the anger and frustration of the RA over this matter is strange. GM did his job and prevented an unintended game mechanics from being purposefully exploited.

It was spitted out on CAOD so it must be true! For all I know, You are the one who was exploiting complexes in South and in BoB space.
No, it's not true, nothing of that is true. There was no carrier bug and no one exploited those bugged respawns in RA controlled space. Or may be it was BoB? Yeees, sure it was BoB
You guys can fool some newbs here and there, but ppl who are longer in the game know your history rather well. History can't be changed, no matter how hard you try to do it.

Uber Punisher of doom. How many ppl will lose their sleep because of that. And they thought it's the Titan that was worth stealing. Now they know the cold truth.

Quote: Ask yourself this questions:
1. How many people have been scammed or lost assets in this game because of various "bugs" ? 2. How much in this game is not bugged at least in some way? 3. How long does it takes for a regular person to get an answer for a petition regarding reimbursement?
And now think about it for a second he got his titan back in less than 30 minutes and GM never even asked any of us what happened simply took it away didnĘt even bother to write us anything...
But GMs are fair and neutral right?
1. A lot. But many get reimbursed if the GMs think that their loss was indeed the result of sume buggy feature.
2. No one can compete with you, guys, when it comes to knowing what the bugs can do for you.
3. But that is not a regular petition. That is a petition about Titan (there's still no more than 10 of those in the game). Or you think that this petition should get the same priority as some guys' Griffin lost to lag in a remote low-sec system?
Face the truth. You tried to sploit and were caught by a GM.
