As most readers of eve-pirate know there is a lot of bad blood between CI and TRAPS - I won't go into that now.
Short version: After 3 weeks infiltrating and gaining the trust of CI and their members I killed their CEO in a freighter.
Long version: It all started off when I was camping a gate on my main - in TRAPS - and saw Johar'an Caesarri cruise past in his freighter and thought - "wouldn't it be fun if I could kill him". A couple of months later and having too much isk I got a gtc and reactivated an old account I had.
1 day and a couple of mails later I was into CI - simple enough. The next 3 weeks I spent training the basics of siege raven operations and I had it all planned out on EFT. Another week of training and I would have been ready. BUT!
On an alt I did a agent locate on Johar'an for giggles - and saw he was in Cistuvaert - so hopped in my crow and payed him a visit. In system I bought a freight scanner. He undocked when I did - and saw he was brimming with loot. He warped to a nearby system - then came back, then out, then back - strange...... but anyways........
Time was off the essence and so I moved my spy all the way from near Jita to Ourslag (I never remember the real name) in a pod. There I bought the 1kdps monster I would use for the kill: 6X Siege Launcher II - filled with rage torps, 2X 50w neuts 100mn mwd II, 1X Disruptor II, 2X Fleeting web, 2X Sensor booster 2X Cap power relay and 3X BCU II 3X Ogre 1 Cap power relays instead of PDU's as none were on market.
Having informed my other corpies they rushed over - and got ready for the feast. After I warped the raven to the Cist gate in Aletene I asked to scan his cargo. He was gone and instead of heading to that system - he jumped straight into me. BIG mistake.
Activating my mwd, disruptor and torps I steamed towards him at full speed...... bad idea......... I bounced out 30km or so due to the now gigantic mass of the freighters. Thank god for heat. I crised back into within 1km and in under 3 mins it was all over. My corp members sat about protecting/grabbing the loot. No one made screenies ><
All in all we made about 400 - 500mil on loot:
Name: Tessa Testarrossa (laid the final blow) Security: -1.5 Alliance: NONE Corp: Caesarri Industries Ship: Raven Weapon: Bane Rage Torpedo Damage Done: 183686
Destroyed items:
Tripped Power Circuit, Qty: 31 (Cargo) Armor Plates (Cargo) Charred Micro Circuit, Qty: 9 (Cargo) Enriched Uranium, Qty: 10 (Cargo) Fried Interface Circuit, Qty: 3018 (Cargo) Scorched Telemetry Processor, Qty: 7 (Cargo) Oxygen, Qty: 10 (Cargo) Melted Capacitor Console, Qty: 103 (Cargo)
Dropped items:
Broken Drone Transceiver (Cargo) Armor Plates, Qty: 2000 (Cargo) Conductive Polymer, Qty: 2 (Cargo) Pyroxeres, Qty: 105 (Cargo) Contaminated Nanite Compound, Qty: 1006 (Cargo) Tangled Power Conduit, Qty: 2487 (Cargo) Zydrine, Qty: 22500 (Cargo) Burned Logic Circuit, Qty: 14 (Cargo) Malfunctioning Shield Emitter, Qty: 8 (Cargo) Smashed Trigger Unit, Qty: 9 (Cargo) Alloyed Tritanium Bar, Qty: 5 (Cargo) Megacyte, Qty: 16334 (Cargo) Damaged Artificial Neural Network, Qty: 3 (Cargo) General Freight Container (Cargo) Megacyte, Qty: 87885 (In Container)
Next I rushed over to another system where one of them was mining - but he docked and logged before I could find the belt.
A few hours and downed Abso later I was docking at the Traps HQ to apply when a corp drake undocked - I asked if he could test my tank........... he tested mine, I tested his....... Nice T2 stuff dropped - nothing stellar tho.
In one odd feature at 0m firing rage torps they orbited him but didn't hit him at all. Looked funky tho :)
In all this time no warnings in corp chat, no corp mails - nothing - shows how much Johar'an cares about his members. That said he was a good sport and even found some humor when he was going down.

Just a note Johar'an - I strongly reccomend paying the initial ransom which we asked for - because we have so many more people in your corp roster just waiting to pop up and say HELLO! |

That's actually a good covert operation.
Congratulations on the kill, and seeing the way it was pulled off, I can tell you did enough recon.

Alts improve Eve no end. The ability to play a completely different character on a different account giving your opponent zero opportunity to detect and counter, that's what makes you the really awesome player.
Nicely done. Now, if somebody would just write a better game, we could all go and play that instead.

Not my tears fanboi. Now if this guy did it with his main, to TRAPS, then it would mean something. As it is, it's just an alt doing something that could never be countered. Does that make a great game or a great player, or neither?
Here's a clue. Neither.

This. I don't understand how this is a big thing, surely anyone with even a second of a brain could do this and find a dumbfounded industry corp with more freighters to do it too(resulting in more money made and thus being more successful).

You tears thing was a the troll. My clarification of the exact point, not a troll. Your reply to that, was a troll.
But you are in REPO, so Mitnal/Valorem won't agree.
Also, zero backpedal, zero confrontation.

Didn't notice this until now. The purpose of the two med neuts is to place them between the launchers, and keep them offline. That makes them act as heatsinks, meaning you can overload your launchers for a bit longer. A gank raven doing this will put out ridiculous damage. We're talking around 1100 dps not counting drones.

Killing people without the knowledge and fittings to defend themselves isn't especially hard. Don't pat yourself on the back too much bud. If you want combat, get out of empire and play ball in the big leagues.

If by big leagues you mean the place where bigger numbers decide the fate of the battle then i doubt that's more entertaining.
Also it wouldn't be very hard to pull off something like this in 0.0 either, but what makes this better then your average freighter kill is that it was done in high sec where everyone and their mom thinks they're safe , so props to the OP for a job well done.

@50w - was to use the spare high slots and to swat off tacklers if they came. I also wanted to deter loot theives. I would have gone for large neuts but didnt have the time to look for grid/cpu stuff - he jumped in 1 min after I got to gate anyways - so if I had kept shopping for the perfect setup I would have had to wait longer.
@The crying alt - hahahaha poor thing. Espionage and skulldudgery make this game great - we could just as well have gotten a newbie to join your corp, train up for a gankrax and do it in that with little problem.
@Ovek and the rest - it was a classic hit designed to get someone who hides and threatens from station whenever challenged. I would call it a little after-service and nice reminder that we still love him. This wasn't realy about isk - more isk wasted meant more annoyance - but it wasn't intended as a moneymaking op.
