The British Space Corporation is proud to announce the reformation of the corp. With a new CEO and new directions the corp will start the climb back to success.
The corp being one of the first 10 still-existing corporations founded in the Corporate Boom of Year 105 we have plenty of experience over 4 years in all fields. Combat, industry, research and trading.
Traditionally we are multiracial ship-building enterprise, but times have changed and there is a necessity of combat. We have a solid industrial infrastructure to build anything and keep our war machine rolling.
In joining members will enjoy being part of a valued community and a team. The corp believes in US instead of ME. In being a successful team we can then offer members privileges such as equipment and ships like free battle cruisers and battleships.
Recruitment Criteria
ò All prospective employees are expected to be mature, respectful, honourable and trustworthy. ò Pod pilots must have achieved minimum score of 20 million SPs. ò EmployeeÆs MUST be prepared to use voice over communications at all times. (e.g. Teamspeak) ò We will not accept scammers and other low life. ò Employees will be expected to operate in 0.0 activities, that being combat or mining. All members will be expected to assist with combat, mining ops and support logistics when necessary.
Interested parties should visit our forums and sign up. Give us some background info about yourself and say hello!

Great news - I used to head the BSC Academy in the early days.
I'm sure there may be many people out of the many hundreds we trained who will now have their 20m sp mentioned and there will be a warm welcome for anyone from ex-BSCA. Also, of course, anyone form BSC of old. Similarly for anyone else wanting to broaden their experience and be part of such a historic corporation.
If you want a professional and well organised Corp then look no further.
Any anyone from BSC/BSCA - 'Hola'!

Quote: I started playing EVE 8 months ago and quickly learned that 0.0 is where all the fun takes place. I decided very early that I was not going to pirate and so I needed to find like minded players who could help me in my steep learning curve that is 0.0 as a noob. It seemed to me at the time that joining a corporation was what i needed to do, in order to gain access to 0.0 with so little pvp and skill experience.
What a old member had to say after 8 months of him originally joining.
Don't be shy join "BSC Public" ingame, if only to get to know us or ask any questions.

Were always willing to take on anyone with in reason. Maybe you don't have the SP, but possibly very active with a lot of experience etc. Were willing to make exceptions to those people who don't quite make the cut to a certain degree. Or maybe you have lets say 15 mil SP put its all focused to a role, specialised pilots.
Best thing you can do us come to BSC public and tell us why we should take you. What can you as a player offer the corp.

An old story done back in 2003/04 written by our old head of communications, Zaphod Robotnik.
The Founding is the story of the beginning of the BSC. This is entire a work of fiction, describing how the BSC came to become a corporation, the story of how the BSC has progressed since that time has not (yet) been written.
I hope you all enjoy...
Part 1 Unspecified Location, Deep in Amarr Space "Is all in readiness?" "Yes, Lector, your ship is ready." "Then it begins." Maltak reverently lifted the few pieces of ancient parchment from where they lay and placed them within the translucent cargo canister. As the lid closed, the case immediately began to fill with the viscous preservation fluid. Once full, the electric charge passed through the box, and the fluid solidified.
Sighing with relief, Lector Maltak took the case from the young acolyte and boarded the elevator. Temple Guards flanked either side of him. "Go now Mobias, my son. You have done all you can here.". The doors slid shut, as the Lector traversed to the Temple Docks.
The large Bestower-class transport had been especially fitted for the mission, with extra afterburners and hull plating. The High Priest of the Alliance had complained about the cost and the effect on the supply of Minmatar slaves, but eventually saw the right of it. Stepping aboard, Maltak placed the case into a cargo pod, and stowed it into a holding cell. Soon, the young priest thought, soon we shall meet them.
Outpost, Aridia Region It took around a week through Jumpgates and sublight travel to make their way to the bookmarked coordinates. Finally, though, the planet came into view. The green-blue globe was swathed with cloud formations, swirling gracefully. A blip from his NeoCom computer brought Maltak out of his reverie however. The ship rounded the horizon of the planet, stark metallic lines, against natural lines of a planetoid.
Ship-to-ship local communications blinked online. "Unidentified vessel, this is the HMS Discovery, please identify yourself." "HMS Discovery, this is the Amarr-Briton Alliance ship Fair Trade, here as we discussed. We have the documents." "Excellent, Fair Trade, we'll escort you round to Outpost - you came in on the wrong side!"
Clicking the local channel off, and sighing deep with relief, Maltak relayed the instructions to the pod-bound captain. So far, so good.

Part 2 Unspecified Location, Deep in Amarr Space The chains groaned cruelly as the weight of the Amarrian slave pulled it groundwards. Plumes of red dust billowed up at his impact, and the slaveline juddered to a halt. Lector Mobias looked up from the Book he was studying, and grimaced. "Get up!" he called out.
The slave, attempting to haul himself to his feet, pulled on the rust-red chain but failed, his frail form hitting the floor again with a jarring impact. "Get... up..." came the LectorÆs voice.
It was only moments later when it came apparent that the line was going nowhere with the Amarrian on the floor. The convulsions had started. Walking over to the line, the Lector tskÆd at the slave cowering on the floor.
"Please...", the Amarrian croaked, "Vit..." "Vitoc?", the Lector sneered, "YouÆre out of luck, the Alliance hasnÆt had the demand lately for new slaves, so rather than keeping you on... weÆre letting you go."
Kicking the slave in the ribs, the Lector barked out orders to the slaver-handlers nearby. Unshackling the fallen slave from the line, the handlers dragged the soon-to-be-corpse away from the gang. The other chained slaves to the man looked at their fallen companion with momentary dread for the gruesome death he would suffer in the jaws of the slavers.
"Who ordered you to stop?", the Lector barked. "Unless you want what Maltak is due to get keep moving!"
With a start, the slaves shuffled onwards towards the waiting cargo canister. To their crypt.

Part 3 Outpost, Aridia Region Jakuna couldn't fathom it. It had only been two years since Outpost had made contact with the so-called Amarr-Briton Alliance through Lector Maltak and things had spiralled downhill so quickly as to be disastrous. Their first meeting was great - the Scriptures that the Alliance had turned out to be genuine, and purportedly dating back to before the EVE Gate was constructed. Words of the True Britons and the True Empire. However, it seemed that the Alliance did not agree with Maltak, as Outpost had yet to hear back from him. What they had heard from though, was Alliance "pacification" ships.
The few combat-ready Frigates that the Outpost did have had been destroyed in the first wave, but their shipyards had been able to produce new ships and quick. "I'll give the boys down in the Royal Industrial Department's R&D section something," mused the Outpost's Commander, "they work quick on demand!"
A knock on the door sounded, and Awen, Head of the Security Department entered. "Sir!", he snapped. "At ease, Awen, what you got for me?" "They're where we expected, and totally unaware of these Kestrel-class ships the RID put together with those newly researched blueprints".
"I didn't think they would", Jakuna smiled. The Alliance would soon learn how he earned the name "Kuningaz".

Part 4 Unspecified Location, Deep in Amarr Space "Ensign, report", the barked command snapped across the pilots subconscious as he lay in his pod. "We're closing on the Alliance's last known position, sir". Telson smiled and nodded as he sent a flurry of messages over the NeoCom to his commanders. That Amarr-Briton Alliance may have thought to buy our trust with their texts and scrolls, but now they're going to learn the hard way, the Admiral sneered.
As reports from the Rangers came in, the positioning of the enemy became clear. Admiral Darv's face twisted in an evil grin. Now we'll see, the ex-mercenary thought quietly to himself.
Outpost, Aridia Region Doctor Taffarel shook his head as the special order came in over the Industry Department's NeoCom system. He had known that it might come to this, but he still hated to see the work the Shipyards had took such toil over go up in smoke. He hated losing his hard won products like this, and hated even more reporting the matter to his vice presidents and employees.
Opening a channel, he transmitted the self-destruct codes for the last ships off the production line.

Edited by: Dawson on 06/02/2008 12:36:33 Part 5 Unspecified Location, Deep in Amarr Space Zaphod sipped quietly on an Amarrian Red as he sat back with the Deacon from the Alliance.
"This is you final chance to back your forces down." Zap spoke calmly as he swirled the deep red wine in it's glass. "This doesn't have to come to hostilities.".
"Never!", the Alliance's Deacon snapped back, "You stole our most sacred texts, you shall be destroyed!".
Zaphod sighed. Always the worst part of an ambassadors job, he thought, the breaking down of relations. He taps a small communicator on his cuff, signifying the go-ahead.
Outpost, Aridia Region Jakuna rested his head against his hands as the last message from the NeoCom system blinked softly. on his screen The fleet of the Amarr-Briton Alliance had been destroyed utterly. The waste was apalling - the 5 cruisers and 20 frigates provided to the Alliance by Outpost exploding mid-flight, nothing to stop the Rangers from storming Alliance held worlds and capturing their leaders.
Oh well, the head of Outpost thought, it's just business.

Part 7 The "war" had lasted a sum total of seven days - missile-laden Kestrels supported by Punisher-class Frigates made short work of the Amarr-Briton Alliance's supply lanes - Bestowers carrying minerals bound for Alliance Factories going up in flames, the Tormentor-class ships that the Alliance fielded being shredded by Royal Security Department forces. The final blow - the Trojan ships given to the Alliance before the war even began. Negotiations afterwards were equally brutal...
"All assets will be handed over to Outpost, that is none negotiable", snapped Jakuna. Sighing in defeat, the bruised and bloodied form of High Priest Mobias nodded his assent.
"And the slaves?", queried Jakuna. "Will be turned over to your custody... unharmed".
Signalling the guards, the High Priest was took away, as commanders Darv, Taffarel and Robotnik entered the room. Taking their accustomed seats, Jakuna turned to them.
"Gentlemen, it has become apparent that Outpost can no longer survive as an isolated base here on the fringes of Amarr Space - we need to adapt. To this end, and with the financial grounding the Amarr-Briton alliances assets will give us, I have decided to move into the corporate sphere".
The wall-mounted NeoCom flared up, showing a map of the known universe. "We shall be moving all of Outpost's assets to the Tash-Murkon Region. There is a lack of skilled ship builders in the area and as I'm sure you'll agree, this war has given us a grand amount of experience."
Zaphod stood up, "As the commander in charge of the diplomatic corps, I have made contact with the Amarr Imperial School, and despite their reticence to deal with us after the submission of one of their cults, we have been granted office space in Tew. Additionally..."
"Actually, Zaphod, that's something I need to address", interrupted Jakuna. "In moving to a new corporate model, we need to deal with naming and our ranking structure. You, all of you, shall be given the rank of President within your particular spheres. I shall retain my role as the Chief Executive Officer."
"But our corporate name?" asked the Doctor.
Jakuna smiled. "In honour of our Ancestors, those Britons who were uncorrupted by slavery and worked for the common good of all, we will become British. The British Space Corporation."
