A year ago when i started playing EvE was a niche game where people adapted to changes and were generally smart. Now all we get is morons flooding the forums whining about things they don't like and it seems CCP give into these people more and more. If this goes though I can foresee EvE just becoming WoW in space especially with the awful Ambulation. On a final Note, Please only post here if you agree with the Title and dont post if you think it should be on steam. This thread is intended for the loyal playerbase who have more than 4 braincells to post their disgust at a useless change. Anyone who posts to the contrary will be reported to the ISD for spam

This is not the case, Steam is just another distribution method to get Eve out there and you don't have to use it. I wonder if CCP had to pay Valve something for it.

This is not the case, Steam is just another distribution method to get Eve out there and you don't have to use it. I wonder if CCP had to pay Valve something for it.

Eve is already freely distributed via interwebs, no point adding it to Steam. Go ahead and buy add space on Steam, that's useful, just giving people an alternate, bloated means of downloading the client contributes nothing. Also, any proof that we won't need to run eve through Steam?

The only games that absolutely REQUIRE Steam are games made by Valve, AFAIK. Which makes sense, since Valve designed Steam. ________________

That may cause lag, but the simple fact that that its available on Steam will not create more lag. As said before, the only games that are steam-only are valve developed source games, I.E. Counterstrike Source, Half Life 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2. Think about the bright side - more noobs buying overpriced goods, and more targets in nullsec.

As such it does not belong in this thread. And as has been said, Steam shouldn't be required.
