everytime i search for an apoc setup for both pvp/npc
they are very old and i am wondering if they are outdated
from what i have read i should be using 8x mega pulse which i will do when i have skills
but atm what is the best tech 1 pulse weps for pvp/npc
also what would u recommend for med and low slots ?

You have chosen a dark and scary topic, one full of resentment and nostalgia from the ôgood old daysö when Amarr were more capable at lower skill levels than they are now.
Anyway, the best named Pulses are Mega Modulated Pulse Energy Beams, and they are somewhat cheap compared to the best-named beams, which I must say are superior for PvE.
I would fit it as below, though I must admit I skipped the Apoc and went to the Abaddon. Yes, I went thorough a LOT of cap booster 800Æs doing missions in the Abaddon, but it is a sexy ship.
Highs:
ò8x Mega Modulated Pulse Energy Beams (with faction crystals, I will sell them to you if you need  )
Meds:
òAB/MWD
òWarp Disturptor (optional, depends if you are soloing, which I would not do in an Apoc)
ò1-2x best named Cap rechargers
òWeb (best named or tech II, for frigates)
Lows:
ò3x active hardners of you choice (rat specific or exp/kin/therm for PvP)
ò2 large reps (best named or tech II)
ò2x Heat sink (best named or tech II)
Switch one out for a Damage Control or a Plate if you are feeling conservative. A co-processor might also be necessary depending on your fitting skills.
To convert to PvE, drop the point (Warp Disruptor) and add another cap recharger, and perhaps the heat sinks for either capacitor power relays or plates since you want more sustainability than damage.

I harp on it every time...
NEUT APOC NEUT APOC NEUT APOC!
invaluable to a small fleet in pvp.
does nothing obviously for PVE

Cant any ship with 8 high slots carry 8 neuts ? Why not use a neut raven?
Why do people always mention the neut apoc ?

Another common setup is an Autocannon setup. Using 800mm autocannons you can use the entire cap for tanking (hence easier to run a duel rep).

Because the apoc lacks a role. Geddon is the dps ship, Abaddon is the tank ship, and both do more dmg than the apoc.

That depends on the fight, the abaddon is a better neut boat only if its under fire. I'll take the 25% cap over resists and a bit more PG anyday.

Some amarr pilots prefer the apoc as a sniping ship for the couple extra slots and the ability to permanently run a rack of tech IIs.
