Honestly, at least have the decency to show a little bit of modesty concerning your alliance, I don't see anyone else here listing their own allianceand one of their own members for two awards. You claim you hate self-promotion but thats all you do.

BEES have really come into their own in the past year. I've had the pleasure of flying with them in the past and those guys know their s**t. Very organized, well led group of dangerous Pilots. They don't need to spam Cap Ships to annihilate your entire gang.
Death of Virtue, although somewhat small in size, have impressed me as well. Haven't seen a small Pirate Corp willing to engage and have a stand-up fight against superior numbers on a consistent basis in a long time.
Blood Blind Alliance has also impressed. Have been monitoring their activity ever since Killar (friend of mine and CEO of Darkness) joined the Alliance and those guys (the entire Alliance) have been ripping it up.

sad days for eve piracy has come when reputation and fame or pirate corps are made on forums... back in the good ole` days, fear spreading from careabear to careabear with the mention of good pirates, stories about battles in every part of eve universe and expiriencing the swift death by some of good pirate corps made them famous and people were afraid of them. but there was a good reason for that - they were really good, fighting against odds, adopting to all changes, getting better and better - thats how these predators made their names.
nowdays, piracy is considered camping in low sec and ganking, running away when anti pirates come, eventually dying to them, or docking and waiting to outnumber them heavily to undock while posting on forums how good you are, then supporting it with your own alt. sad days came....sad days... i dont think there is more then 2-3 proper and active pirate corps nowadays : sniggs, exotic dancers, veto...cant come up with any more atm...

Unfortunately, that's rather true. That's not how we roll though. KB stats aren't the-end-all of a corp's abilities. Nonetheless, good or bad, it's our history and we wouldn't tarnish it for anything.

doubt its same corp, one i am speaking aroud is where old teddies are. and eve uni smashing them would only be possible if they had suicidal purpose of that war.

Couple of years ago there were like what, 8000 players at most during the day? Now its 30000. 3 times as many atleast. Its a lot harder to stand out today. There are a lot more pirates, different corps that kills ppl all the time. Smart ppl stay out of low sec. Low sec is also a lot more dangerous now a days. The good old belt piracy is almost dead. Theres no way you can compare pirate corps from back then with pirate corps today, low sec is entirely different, Ive seen low sec change the 2-3 years I played eve and I reckon you have as well. Anti pirates almost didn't exist a few years ago. Pirate HAC/recon gangs you almost never saw, now I see them every day, If said corps would be here today they wouldn't stand out as they did, and maybe even be in the shadow of other pirate corps.
Also fighting against the odds.... Old pirate movies once Ive seen, most victims had extremely weird fittings, ppl today are generally better at fitting their ships, or the few that do fit them weird gets blown up within 1 hour. not until recently has anti pirates started knowing what they are doing. 1.5 year ago Id would pay as much attention to a antipie as I pay to a macro hauler today. But now if I see an anti pie I know he probably have a 4-10 man gang nearby, well equipped with EWAR, tacklers and dps.
Being first with something I respect but it doesn't make the individuals better in any way.
Also I like this thread. It does encourages epeen waving, but really there hasn't been much of it yet. But for once we have a thread about the pirate community as a whole rather then the short stories of new pirates and self boasting threads of others. While intresting to read sometimes, nothing that concerns the rest of us that much, this thread however provides some unity.

Wait?
So pointing out the extremely pathetic display of self-gratification, and self-promotion that you spew upon these forums makes me extremely bitter because your alliance actually managed to win a fight without the odds crazily weighed against their opponents and without the use of ECM to boot?
Honestly, I could care less about that historically epic battle which you felt the need to post your extremely indepth analysis and victory announcing thread on the forum while crying for the mods to delete it when it seemed that most of the forum populace failed to agree with your views on the post.
Is this personal? Of course not, this is a game but it strikes me when an entity places so much concentration on the values then they turn around and in a hypocritical manner, work against them. I know you have a lot of pride in your corp and your alliance and their abilities but that is no excuse for your forum posting; Veto is 5x what your alliance is and you don't see them posting victory threads or nominating themselves in silly "awards' threads.
All in all, it almost makes me wonder your actually true thoughts on your alliance when you feel the need to prove your alliance's abilities more-so on the forums than in-game. But all in all, there is only so much lack of skill that blobbing and ecm abuse can hide.
