I'd tell you what I MIGHT do.
I might, if I was in your position, message the CEO and say "you do realise I am only 2 clicks away from taking XYZ and 60 billion isk from you, don't you?" and see their response :-)
Don't take it though, it's too mean.

basically, if you have any friends in that corp expect to lose them. also, you'll probably end up having to biomass your character, or at least buy an alt with your untold riches.
personally i wouldn't do it. my corp is the best thing about eve for me, so i'd be a bit of a **** to ruin the game for myself.

Yeah but this only gets him booted from the corp. The OP needs to steal or trash every last bit of tritanium, every shuttle, every unit of small T1 ammo. EVERYTHING. He should melt down every navy battleship, every HAC, every command ship et al that he can't either fly out or carry out in a freighter or whatever. Whatever alliance he is in obviously has it coming to them, whatever it was they did to make him want to steal this stuff. I'm just assuming that. So take it, OP, take it all.
Unless it's from BoB. Don't take from them

I like my corp/alliance a lot and I dont want to leave them and if i can get away with it without them knowing it was me, that is what im deciding. Because i totally could. |

If you take too little, it's common corp thievery. If you take it all, you may force the corp to disband. Only one of these options yields any entertainment for the rest of us though.

nono, I meant inform the CEO of what you have the capability to do, if he's not meant to have it. "did you know I can take eleventy billion isk from you - you might want to check this" kind of thing. See what their response is. If it's "yeah we know2 then... fine, I guess. If it's ZOMG WTF?? then you know you've done good and they'll fix it.

corp can afford to lose these items. Corp/alliance would not suffer or disband, but the lost items would cause a lot of hubbub. |

If it's a small-medium corp, this could destroy them - and make players quit. Someone did that to one of our corps a while back. 3 people quit eve because of it, the others didnt log in for a few days and when they did they left the corp. Months of hard work was destroyed in a second.
Think carefully about what you're going to do.

again, its morality vs greed. if greed wins all that is irrelevant. If morality wins, there is the regret of not having the balls to go through with it. |

Well seeing as you posted this you can't get away with it without anyone knowing.
The second your CEO hears of this you will probably get the boot and any alts anyone findss out about will suffer the same fate. Also at this point smart CEOs are going to reset their POS passwords and change permissions.

Presumably he's using an alt that he created just for this :)
Any corps who have this much isk around, I s uggest you ask for screenshots of the known mains and alts login - it takes 24 hours to kill off an alt.

by posting this i realize im alerting my CEO of possible seditious activity. If it wasnt a problem with me i would have posted "hey, look at what i just stole" I like these guys a lot and taking so much from them would be wrong, but again it is just a game. I could steal upwards of 70bil isk. that would be a record. And again , by posting this I am giving somewhat of a warning. but my ultimate question is: "if you could steal 70bil or more isk without suspicion, would you do it?" |

It is a tricky one, i had this once with a corp i joined, they stopped logging in and after a fortnight of rattling around by myself i took everything from teh corp hangars and left the corp
Eventually the former CEO logged in and told me i did good taking it as the corp had basically gone inactive
You situation is different to mine, you are friends in an active corp, my advise to you is to take it all, bankrupt the corp,(dont destroy any of it) but dont tell them you did
Then you record all the emails and chat logs, post them on here in links for us to look at and wet ourselves laughing
Then in 2 weeks go, 'OOOOHHHHH look what i just found, and show them the stuff you took :)
see how long it takes them to beg and plead for it back/kick you from corp/blow you up

Edited by: Domania on 28/01/2008 17:22:23 Well if I had the chance.... I would have an alt put up a small POS in some quiet low sec system, hijack the titan and jump to said system and log off. Also don't forget to take a picture as proof you have a titan. Start a auction for the titan at 60 billion to make sure you cash in fast and quick, use 3rd party to seal the deal, trade titan, make a butt load of profit. So would I do it? Hells yea!
Now if you do get caught, and get bubbled or some bad luck, set the thing to blow in 2 mins and laugh your ass off. :D (could also ransom it if you do get caught for a few....billions.)

Oh no, I will not accept that this thread is just a trolling attempt. The OP is in KOS and has that alliance's financial future by the neck, which he will soon squeeze and in so doing clear the way for AAA to move on and take out IAC. Everyone will be happy except for KOS but at that point it won't matter any more

Its simple if you have to ask if its a good idea/the right thing to do then you are not cut out for theft.
A good thief steals without letting anyone know about it, has no doubts beforehand about it and no regrets afterwards about it. You don't fint that description so stop before you get into loads of trouble --Bird of Prey: Forum God

i agree with you. dont think i dont know the implications. greed vs morality is just as good as good vs evil, light vs dark, day and night...etc etc...are u telling me if u were in the same situation where you could get 70bil+ scott free you wouldnt even consider it? |

Consider it? Of course. Carry out the plan? Situational, depends if I like the people in the corp or not.
So either do it or don't.
