I hope you are correct. If everything that was claimed to be in the winter expansion is in it, I may reconsider subbing, once the patch hits. However, I hope that after this meeting is done with, and the minutes are released/devblogs are released post-haste, that we will get more than "CCP acknowledges that its capsuleers love the FiS aspect of Eve, and we are commited to continuing the development of it in the future" However I highly doubt we will receive anything more than a "Soon Gäó" statement." Good luck CSM, though I find it hard to see how you can convince CCP of something that people that work for their company will claim to know much more about.
Uh, you guys aren't getting minutes of this one. In general, minutes are only from summits, and this was a conference call. Any changes that may result from this sort of meeting would be revealed in a DevBlog or CSM spotlight or something. CSM 6 Alternate Delegate @two_step_eve on Twitter My Blog What does CSM 6 do? |

Did ccp scrap the idear of treaties because they thought would lead to more non aggression pacts or is it still on the table? |

They didn't as far as I was last told. It didn't get in due to a combination of incomplete design and lack of resources/time to implement/design it Member of CSM 2, 3, 4 and 5. Vice-Chairman of CSM 6 |

The feature was design complete at the time and ready to go forward into programming however it was shelved due to the resources (people / time) being needed on P.I.

But did they throw away the code or what? Is there a significant obstacle to it's introduction now that they've done the majority of the work on it? It seems shockingly wasteful to simply ditch a nearly-complete feature. At a time when I presume they're desperately trying to include as much FiS content as possible in the Winter expansion, reviving Treaties would seem like an easy win. Especially now that the player base has shown our willingness to accept phased expansions.
Are there any other missing features you know of that have similar histories? Reviving a few like this could be an extremely cost effective way for CCP to get some goodwill and really improve the game.
Malcanis' Law: Any proposal justified on the basis that "it will benefit new players" is invariably to the greater advantage of older, richer players.

No such change has been announced yet, we're going to have talks with CCP about it when it's on the radar (or we're having them if they're already on the radar, but I wouldn't be able to say if that was the case). Member of CSM 2, 3, 4 and 5. Vice-Chairman of CSM 6 |
