I believe that since Scientology is more of a cult than a religion, posting this should be okay. If not, then I apologize in advance and those in power are free to lock this post.
This document was leaked by the group Anonymous from some Scientology bunker somewhere, and I have to admit that this is so fascinating and makes so little sense that I have to post it. You can find the full document here, by the way.
Quote:
ADVANCED LEVEL 1 DRILLS
1.Walk around and count bodies until you have a cognition. Make a report saying how many you counted and your cognition.
2.Note several large and several small female bodies until you have a' cognition. Note it down.
3.Note several large and several small male bodies until you have a cognition. Note it down.
4.Find a tight packed crowd of people, note it as a crowd, then as individuals until you have a cognition. Note it down. Do step over until you do.
5.Seat yourself unobtrusively where you can observe a number of people. Spot things and people you are not. Do to cognition. Note it down.
6.Seat yourself unobtrusively where you can observe a number of people. Spot things and people you can have. Do to cognition. Note it down.
7.Note some physical thing about yourself you don't like. Observing people, in them note that body part. Do to some change. Note it down.
8.Observing people, spot things that are not wrong with them. Do to cognition. Note it down.
9.Walk around and note someone walking toward you, then someone walking away, then someone walking toward you, etc. Do to cognition. Note it down.
10. Walk around and note how people stick to the ground and their sense of weight. Do to cognition. Note it down.
11. Spot importances in people while looking at them. Do to cognition. Note it down.
12. Look into space and find places where there are no persons. Do to cognition. Note it down.
13.Walk around and note where there are people. Do to cognition. Note it down.
In the pattern, change "Beings (People) (Those) who never goal" to BEINGS WHO NEVER GOAL. Change "A Being (someone) who never goals." to A BEING WHO IS NEVER GOALING.
Omit "(Someone)" wherever it appears in the pattern. Change "Fervent Believers in Goaling" to ANY FERVENT
BELIEVERS IN GOALING.
Change "No Goalishness" to NO BEING GOALISHNESS for the BE form of goal. Change "Some Bad Condition Dependent on next goal" to THE NEXT GOAL PLUS NO or NOT PLUS THIS GOAL.
In the example "To Create" change oppterm "Creationishness" to CREATINGISHNESS and make other pattern changes as indicated above.
TEXT FOR HCO BULLETIN
THE AIRCRAFT DOOR GOALS This goal pattern (HCO Bulletin of 17 April 1963 as changed) was in use in an aircraft-type set between 315 trillion years ago and 216 trillion years ago and less, and is the pattern which precedes the Helatrobus Implants in this galaxy. It remains to be seen if all preclears have it. The goals were given with one or more goals in a series, usually one, and that goal was To Create. The preclear possibly has this goal several times during this period.
It was given in the mocked-up fuselage of an aircraft with the thetan fixed before an aircraft door. (There are also two or more aircraft fuselages used in the Helatrobus Implants, but the preclear moved through them, was not fixed in them.) The date is the way to tell the pattern. The Helatrobus Implants existed only between 52 trillion and 38 trillion years ago, the total life span of the Helatrobus government. If the goal is found to lie earlier, between 315 trillion and 216 trillion or later, up to 52 trillion years ago, then it is probably this pattern. The goal items were laid in with explosions.

More truly bizarre stuff...
Quote: THE GORILLA GOALS This same pattern, but given in an amusement park with a single tunnel, a roller coaster and a Ferris wheel, was used between about 319 trillion years ago to about 256 trillion trillion years ago, a long span.
The symbol of a Gorilla was always present in the place the goal was given. Sometimes a large gorilla, black, was seen elsewhere than the park. A mechanical or a live gorilla was always seen in the park.
This activity was conducted by the Hoipolloi, a group of operators in meat body societies. They were typical carnival people. They let out concessions for these implant "Amusement Parks." A pink-striped white shirt with sleeve garters was the uniform of the Hoipolloi. Such a figure often rode on the roller coaster cars. Monkeys were also used on the cars. Elephants sometimes formed part of the equipment. The Hoipolloi or Gorilla goals were laid in with fantastic motion. Blasts of raw electricity and explosions were both used to lay the items in.
The series is always five goals. These are very simple goals, no long words. To End, To be Dead, To be Asleep, To be Solid, To Create, To Find, To be Visible, To be Sexual (not To have Sex as some pcs give it), To be Invisible, To Postulate and a very few more were used, always five goals in a series. The series usually started with To be Dead, but To End, To Sleep and To be Asleep must also be investigated as the first goal of each series.
The pattern in HCOB 17 Apr. AD 13 is correct for all of these goals, as changed in this HCO Bulletin.

Scientology has sued people over posting this--back in the day, before torrents, people passed them around on Usenet.
All the big stuff was leaked ages ago, like the OT levels, etc, etc.
Some of it is extremely hilarious.

Cults are invariably religion tbh, and Christianity started out as a mystery cult in it's earliest days.
But... these guys are proper lunatics. I mean howling-at-the-moon-bat****-insane. None of what you posted even makes any sense! What the hell is "a cognition". 315 trillion year old aeroplanes. And what the hell does
Quote: In the pattern, change "Beings (People) (Those) who never goal" to BEINGS WHO NEVER GOAL. Change "A Being (someone) who never goals." to A BEING WHO IS NEVER GOALING.
that mean. It's utter gibberish. Frankly if Tom Cruise can make sense of that he is either a) far more intelligent than I am or b) howling-at-the-moon-bat****-insane
Wonder what those Anonymous lot are planning on doing, their you tube video was... interesting.

Cognition
1. the act or process of knowing; perception.
So basically it's saying go into a mall, sit in a corner, and be a voyeur. Study people and their habits as one would watching animals and note the differences and similiarity's between them and yourself. Basically your seeing things from a certain perception or view and logging it down in your little scientology diary.
Is it wrong that I know that or even worse that I used to do that on my own accord?

Would that be an insight in normal english? Although having read the 1st 10 pages of Dianetics (cost me 5p from a second hand shop) I did notice old L.Ron did like to redefine perfectly servicable words for no apparent reason.

According to this website:
Quote: Cognition, a sudden realization about oneself having to do with Scientology. "***** had a cognition about how her father was a big Suppressive during Session; now she's on the PTS/SP course."

I'll skip the obvious and ever-present "well what about the entire baptism thing that's pretty kooky too" reply as that is too often the stock reply that is reached for...
These people's beliefs are their own, and they're entitled to believe them - which is just fine, because it's absolutely hilarious to read some of this stuff. I mean come on! How damaged an individual do you have to be to accept THIS as the truth that fills the hollow in your life!?
...however, the Church itself is a highly scary thing. The attempts to censor all critics, death threats, smear campaigns, the aggressive marketing and copyrighting of their religious materials so they can't be spread and understood by the common man smacks of something more dangerous than another kook cult making money off celebrities.

That's the point of jargon - if it made sense people would see it was valueless immediately. Jargon appeals to two kinds of people - people who want to be in control and people who want to be told what to do. It works perfectly for both. The people who want to control others get to spout the most amazing nonsense by pretending that their jargon means something, and the people who want to be told what to do will happily play along with the game of learning the jargon and pretending they understand it because doing so means being part of a group which relieves them of the responsibility of thinking and reasoning for themselves.
The exercise in the OP might actually be a good way of developing your own awareness of yourself and those around you, but because it's couched in jargon which you need to learn from the cult it implies that any awareness or understanding you gain during the exercise comes from being part of that select group and not from your own intellect.
This is why I encourage anyone who feels inclined to join groups or cults to looks at the Discordians instead, because their the only ones who'll tell you it's all nonsense right up front.

The beauty of anonymous is that it can't lose. Even if it doesn't achieve anything, they were only in it for the lulz.
When that whole thing first broke, I saw a quote from the founder of Operation Clambake (an anti-Scientology organisation) condemning the whole fiasco as futile, childish and counter-productive. All I could think is "won't you be feeling like a eejit if they manage to achieve something after you guys have been failing to do anything for, like, more than a decade"
Seriously, I do love Operation Clambake for what they do, but it'd be so funny if anonymous goes and takes down the whole cult in just a few months, or something ------

It's a bit silly tbh. It's causing a civil war within /b.
Everybody is arguing with everybody else. One person thinks that we should do it for the lulz, another says we should do it for the good of mankind.
Then people argue with them that we shouldn't do it because it's not for the lulz, and then ANOTHER person argues that anon shouldn't benefit mankind in any way.
******* newfags. All newfags are is people pretending to be oldfags. This results in a big circle of hate within anon. Newfags call other newfags newfags, and oldfags call newfags newfags.
In reality, newfags are people who only sit on the internet. People who contact one another, take things to the streets, and actually create / spread the lulz, are the oldfags.
Hell, just to give a measure of the severity of the situation, there was a 300 post thread arguing mostly about how oldfags only like caturday and watermelon, and that the oldfags were causing the problems by not going out into the streets. Then people argued that the people going into the streets were oldfags, and newfags need to get out there. Then everything degenerated into bull****.
Such is life on the cancer nowadays. 族---族

Indeed. I read it a long time ago, but a copy should be around somewhere on the Operation Clambake website: there's a letter LRH sent his wife (or maybe it was just a diary? don't remember) where he's saying something like "lately I've been popping a lot of the pink and grey pills along with bourbon". This was when he was writing this sort of... whatever it is.
Ironic that Scientology now maintains a strong official policy of no drugs / psychiatry treatments whatsoever, having even spawned their own drug-rehab / addict-brainwashing program (Narconon).
(LHR - and by extension Scientology's - hatred towards the psychiatry community stems at least in part from them putting down and rejecting his Dianetics doctrines back in the '50s)

This, they hardly seem to be incompatable goals.
And does anyone else find it strange that Anonymous is meant to be some sort of secret organisation and everyone knows who is behind it? (community wise, if not individuals)
