I think he's a bit short for clarkson tbh. And too quick. But next time you watch top gear why not just watch his driving style. That should swiftly eliminate Clarkson if it's not him.

Suze'Rain Caldari	Posted - 2008.01.31 00:12:00 - [22] black Stig was Perry McCarthy - he admitted that in his autobiography (great book, btw) ben collins was one of the plausible ideas. it's thought hekki kovalainnen (then a little-known Formula Nissan World Series driver, and Renault F1 test driver) doubled for the Stig in the Renault R24, too. it's convenient that a blank helmet and nondescript uniform means that Stig can be anonymous.

I can imagine that in some situations another driver is preferred, such as the Renault F1 video, and it's rumored that the actual owner of the Maserati MC12 played the Stig. However, this is somewhat unlikely, given that Hammond and Clarkson respectively have driven those cars somewhat more "dangerously" than the Stig, and are far less able to keep such cars in check than whomever plays the Stig. It's very plausible, and probably even likely, that the Stig is indeed always the same person, even in the ski-jump video. EVE History Wiki

He never takes the same line around the track as the other F1 drivers though... although that may just be because he's done it so much. Touring car is also a possibilty which does of course leave Nigel Mansel still open although you can tell it's not him purely by build.

For example, the Stig which sets the lap times is clearly a different Stig than the one who did the Ski jump on a snowmobile in the TGWO. If someone can drive cars fast and do a ski jump in a snowmobile, I would very much like to meet him.
