Dark Goddess	Posted - 2004.03.29 03:32:00 - [61] 0 ships lost here... but I'm not a combatty type person >_< I only pirates the defenseless ships for the loot. No combat ships except on the very rare occation that there isnt a fleet within 2 jumps. I orginally made my char and just wanted to try out pirating... never bought a clone, never got insurance... and still havent ^_^ --------------------------------------------- Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me...
Darkwolf	Posted - 2004.03.29 03:47:00 - [62] 1 Osprey. Way, way back, when I only had Caldari Cruiser 1, I went on my first NPC hunting expedition into sub 0.4 space. I'd just learned Medium Hybrid, and had a buddy in a Moa with me. This was back in the days of rampant CTD's. Warped into a belt, CTD'ed, logged back in to a pod, and then had to creep back to HQ. For shame :P
Vanaaa	Posted - 2004.03.29 07:00:00 - [63] 1 Dominix to castor (yes I was one of them ppl thinking those spawns can't be as bad as anyone says..) many Iteron mkV, 2 or three cruisers to "space drifting", (where you let your ship in space to change to another ship, and suddelny, one of the ships drifted off..)never figured out, how to find them again.. a few cruisers to npc and even one to a zombie attack, though that one was mainly a casualty of sentry guns, as I panicked when they locked me and started firing at them in sentry range... the nice thing was, that they fired back and they where in sentry range as well At some point, u get used to loosing them ships.. not a tragedy anymore, everytime you loose one

To date I've lost:- * 1x Merlin due to Concorde mysteriously attacking me * 1x Kestrel due to some noob getting too close to a gate rate i was firing on and getting hit with splash damage * 1x Kestrel due to warping to a roid beltwith a bunch of Kestrel rats then having a lovely CTD * 1x Moa (uninsured :() just today due to a warp bug Thinking I might get me a Caracal and some cruise missiles as that's what i'm used to (Kestrel style). Not yet been podded but managed to forget to upgrade my clone from 500,000 skill points until 1,100,000 skill points :S

Never be involved in a fleet battle and be targeted first. Never tank out a scorp and take the punishment while ur corp mates get the kill. i mean, i must have CTD 50 times in battle activating modules before the fixes, PVP was a lottery, and not a lottery that u can win every time. sorry to say, but a superb example is Valeria, VERY smart player, but doesnt take any chances, which im sure she will agree, shes a smart pirate looking for easy kills... sorry, but im just a little amazed. id like to hear how many ships the good PVPers in the game have lost, IE lord zap, tank CEO, and so on. bet its quiet a few. PPl whom take chances and dont ponce around.

I never willingly go into a situation where I will meet fairly certain death, no. But you make me sound like a coward. I have killed plenty of ships in fair fights, I have killed plenty of ships in unfair fights (to me) aswell. If I see a battleship I will attempt to kill it unless I'm needed elsewhere or have some gimp setup on. Please enlighten me as to what real PvP is. Today I lost my Interceptor (wrecking hit) against two Battleships and two other Interceptors while trying to take out the industrial they were guarding. Is that PvP then? And I don't use warpcore stabilizers. Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage.

If they have never lost ships and participate in PVP, i doubt they are taking that "calculated wrisk", or that hit for the team, and may warp out before the going gets tough. iv lost a few ships, just because im a team player, and sometimes play bait with a tanked ship, sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesnt, how many times did i jumpin to daras and take a kicking before my mates warped jumped in?, many times. its just when these big time PVpers say they havnt lost a ship, it makes me wonder. CELES guys have lost a battleship in about 10 seconds of being targeted in some fleet battles. losing ships is part of the fun.

Until sir tristan came along, my big forum mouth made me a target and I was usually the first one to warp out of a battle with serious armour damage LEEEEERRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
