Lansfear	Posted - 2004.03.28 05:37:00 - [1] I'll start the tears of pain in remembering lost ships. 5 Batteships (2x scorp, dom, 2x megathron, one scorp and megathron uninsured) 24+ cruisers 100+ frigates (so many its impossible to begin to remember how many) 4 Industrials (3 were empty) Lets' find out what ships are realy lost when you click "Show ships destroyed"

nails	Posted - 2004.03.28 06:05:00 - [4] 1 Merlin, back in first couple weeks after launch we tried to take out a little fleet of npc cruisers with a fleet of merlins... I fought bravely and died quickly. 1 Badger Mark II, trying to pick up ore that was too close to the spawn point at the time (also shortly after launch, and right before the cruiser rush) 4 Battleships: 1 Apoc lost to FA 1 Tempest lost to Zombie 1 Scorp lost to FA<-- all within the first week of joining CA. Then one more Tempest lost to Techell and company very recently. Not sure if they are SA anymore since MASS and Collective don't protect them shrug. ------------------ http://ota-corps.otaku.jp -- Anime l33t level

Then around my second month playing i joined Tyrell and went to curse, in the same scorpion, i then bought myself a Raven which i used against CA, camped YI- for about a week killing 6 Battleships 14 Cruisers 11 haulers and god knows how many Frigates (its great having ammo spots) - Also Hi Shamen and BraveHart hehe Then i left and joined FA, fighting m0o in the same Raven, killed about 7 FE and 1 m0o in my Raven... I however do not consider the two cruisers as fairly lost as I got reimbursed for the rupture and the stabber was lost to a bug.

Some blackbirds, like about 5-10, not sure tho. My first griffin to sentrys the same day Zombie was born if i recall right. About 5 kestrels recently. I think im missing 1-2 battleship losses, I just dont remember them atm. ZOMBIE PRUNES!

All the fun of the fair though! A pathetic tally really for 10 months of playing. 'Desire the Right'

I still have my Scorpion I bought back when Bships were rare, it has seen lots of podgoop in its days. Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage.

There may have been a third BB loss although I cant remember exactly. PVP is fun.

A part from the losses above I was closest to death when m0o concentrated their firepower on me in YZ-LQL and 0verkill was mwd-ing to me in his cruise missile scorp to warp scramble, going through our fleet which didn't seem to notice him. Warped out with very little armor and hull and not a moment too late. Repair bill was pretty high but I was back in action in 2 minutes Second closest was when my Armageddon jumped into the middle of XAN/EVOL fleet when they were trying to take over Fountain, Leyla Numanor was controlling the Fountain fleet and I warped to him at 60km and found myself sitting neck to neck with the EVOL and XAN forces, don't think they ever noticed me shooting them from 5km before I mwd-ed to safer distance :p As for my alts, they've lost 3 Blackbirds, 1 Vexor and lots and lots and lots of frigates. ¼©¼ a history

I'd just learned Medium Hybrid, and had a buddy in a Moa with me. This was back in the days of rampant CTD's. Warped into a belt, CTD'ed, logged back in to a pod, and then had to creep back to HQ. For shame :P

To date I've lost:- * 1x Merlin due to Concorde mysteriously attacking me * 1x Kestrel due to some noob getting too close to a gate rate i was firing on and getting hit with splash damage * 1x Kestrel due to warping to a roid beltwith a bunch of Kestrel rats then having a lovely CTD * 1x Moa (uninsured :() just today due to a warp bug Thinking I might get me a Caracal and some cruise missiles as that's what i'm used to (Kestrel style). Not yet been podded but managed to forget to upgrade my clone from 500,000 skill points until 1,100,000 skill points :S

Never tank out a scorp and take the punishment while ur corp mates get the kill. i mean, i must have CTD 50 times in battle activating modules before the fixes, PVP was a lottery, and not a lottery that u can win every time. sorry to say, but a superb example is Valeria, VERY smart player, but doesnt take any chances, which im sure she will agree, shes a smart pirate looking for easy kills... sorry, but im just a little amazed. id like to hear how many ships the good PVPers in the game have lost, IE lord zap, tank CEO, and so on. bet its quiet a few. PPl whom take chances and dont ponce around.

If they have never lost ships and participate in PVP, i doubt they are taking that "calculated wrisk", or that hit for the team, and may warp out before the going gets tough. iv lost a few ships, just because im a team player, and sometimes play bait with a tanked ship, sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesnt, how many times did i jumpin to daras and take a kicking before my mates warped jumped in?, many times. its just when these big time PVpers say they havnt lost a ship, it makes me wonder. CELES guys have lost a battleship in about 10 seconds of being targeted in some fleet battles. losing ships is part of the fun.
