If you have to rely on bad UI design to achieve your gameplay objectives, well then... guess you're soon to be out of luck!
Surely if we have the technology to spread civilization across thousands of star systems, and fly around in starships with hundreds or thousands of crew members, the captain of the ship can get quick and reliable information on who is doing what to his/her ship, no?
I mean, when the Millennium Falcon was caught in a tractor beam, Han Solo knew right away what it was and who was doing it!
(Yes, I know, this is a game, that's a movie, and neither remotely resemble real life... but I'm so happy about these changes that I can't help but to gleefully rain on the bad UI parade!)

Re: undock changes: dear god no! Please, remove this and pretend you never even thought of such a bad idea!
The last thing we need is even MORE reason for people to stay docked. Complain about lame dock/undock games if you want, but the end result is going to be every time you'd have "hm... hostiles in system, but maybe the station is clear to get out *undocks*", you're going to have "if I guess wrong, I'll die before I can get back in range... *stays in station*".

I like to rain on the whiners parades as a matter of pride and selfish enjoyment at others emotional expense.
<3 overview changes. Kudos CCP.

Actually i've just had a quick test using a shuttle, an interceptor, and a thanatos, and all were able to stop within 0km docking range just by immediately hitting zero speed control on undock.
It also seems as if the docking radius of some stations may have been increased, at least I’m pretty sure the minmatar outpost's is a little bigger.
The only bad change this could bring is if your PC lags to hell on undock
One random observation: if you have a dictor bubble placed very close to the station model, a fast interceptor that can make about 750m/s+ on undock will cruise out of the bubble while being unlockable due to its 30 second undock timer... add one undock BM and that might actually be useful
So yeah if you can't survive 30 seconds, don't undock, but it is at least possable to keep within docking range (as long as your not bumped)
EDIT: Actually if you click stop while undocking it does not effect your 30 invulnerability timer, you can stop within docking range, wait out your 30 seconds and redock without being targetable, in other words this change is mearley traffic management. -

Make it add extra *'s or icons to the overview... or multi-colors or something, so it's possible to tell when someone's jamming AND webifying you at the same time. And also, have it blink faster if they have more points, etc., or have the color pulse when their Ewar module refreshes, and dim as its cycle gets runs out.
I would also love to see permanent status messages, somewhere. "You have been warp-jammed, 5 points total." should be displayed in a corner somewhere and remain visible as long as the condition stays true.
More info is always good.
Also, making a useful tool out of the combat log would be nice too. Take a lesson from other games with their colored, scrolling, non-laggy, informative, and customizable status message windows.

This sounds like pretty nice changes but consider this...
You have spent ages setting up your overview and the nice funky tabs and stuff and you have it JUST how you want it. Then CCP rolls out a new patch that totally obliterates them
So, yeah, these are great changes. Will be even greater if they manage to make it remember them during a patch (or allow us to export them, which would be super so we could have common settings for alliance/corp ops!)

I even like the full speed undock change. Should in fact do away with a lot of station camping outside of 0.0 as instant warping out is just a matter of setting up an undock insta. Of course it's going to be interesting to see if pirates adapt to that by setting up a token camp at the station, and another camp just off grid . |

Does anyone know if the new EWar notification on the Overview spplies to NPCs as well or pilots only? They work for both. but current issue is the only show one icon at a time and its only the last one they applied so if he scrams then damps the damps would show first. hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I did some similar tests as Alski last night as well... no issues staying with in dock range of the station, just have to be thinking of it...
And Alski, assuming that everyone doesn't hit stop right outside the station, some of that lag on undock should dissipate...
