So very true. One thing about EnB players, we definately know how to camp.
I really hate camping...
Had some smashing fun with you guys today, and you're learning quick (I almost got taken down by some good teamwork). I'm sure in another few days you'll be ganking us left right and centre
Good clean fighting too which I like.
Take it easy chaps.

It is good to hear that this eventually turns out well.

Funniest thing about this war is the fact that it could never have been the intention of the party that paid MF that CLS would have so much fun in it.
Thanks go to whoever hired MF to train our newbies in the art of Player vs. Player combat. We couldn't have done this more efficient ourselves ------------------------------------------ I am a love machine, feeding my fantasy, give me a kiss or three, have fun!

LOL. Yes, we'll be more than ready to take on whoever hired MF by the time this war is over. Thanks again, mystery enemies.

This got me thinking to be honest. Is it possible, that Mercenary Frigates were really hired to shape the mind of those E&B newcomers, introducing them to PvP? The longer i think about it, the less arguments I can find against the above idea.
Celestial Horizon members are clearly enjoying themselves, which is odd. Mercenary Friagate pilots are seemingly not that disturbed about this, which is even more intresting.
Would you be a hired gun, payed to 'harass' / 'grief' another corp, wouldnt you be bothered if said corp would clearly enjoy your actions? Damn i wouldnt pay a cent if my enemy would get a good target practice instead of suffering heavy casulties.
To my knowledge, Mercenary Frigates is not that unsuccessful and Celestial Horizon (as they told us) mainly consists of new characters, so i have to think, that Mercenary Frigates either cancelled the contract when they figured the opponent is not up to them in skills, or they were never really hired to harass and grief Celestial Horizon, but more likely to 'play with them', and to make them like PvP.
Well, i'm curious how this turns out, but i can easly imagine that malangar was right and that the true reason behind hiring Mercenary Frigates was not to scare E&B people away, but to make them like PvP instead.
I guess we will never find out, unless they tell us. :/ ------------- This post is nothing more than my personal opinion. It does not represent the official standpoint of Fountain Alliance, or the HUN Corporation in any way. ------------- |

Hmmm conspiracy theories.... I reckon MF were hired by a Corp headed up by Larry Probst and Talisker to get their revenge on EnB players for "various comments".
I could be wrong though ----------------------- Honor and Serve!

Now that is a (edit - c-rack got nerfed) c-racking theory, but there are some very fine lines between fighting a proper war and griefing, especially with the controvesy generated when this war first started about E&B newbies.
We've kinda come to an agreement in that the majority of the fighting will be done in a specific system and anyone who doesn't want to fight stays away, this doesn't mean that if a CH player stumbles into an MF one there will be no hostilities, but it makes things less messy.
As far as wars go this has been very civil, even as far as giving tips in local to the enemy on battle tactics, and how best to fight their ships.
The "fighting players" we are currently against are quickly becoming an effective PvP (subcorp) of CH and are starting to score some good kills against MF, using similar tactics tho those used by us. All in all it's good to see them coming of age in the frig fighting business and I for one wish them a happy future in Eve.

We really appreciate the offer Sundri. Reason we kept this between us and a few alliance leaders (incl PX =]) is that we didn't want alliance involvement. We wanted to see if we could handle this ourselves :)

EVE has its a$$holes, yes. . . but it's a big universe. There are over 5000 systems. Surely you can find a place to hide and establish yourselves.

I must say to all MF folks who are going to kill me more in the near future: be gentle, please. I don't mind dying, but I would at least like to have the illusion of defending myself, if I may.
That aside, I must again comment on my respect for the members of MF. One of them was nice enough to give me back the equipment he looted off my destroyed ship, and allowed my pod to escape. That was darned decent of him, he didn'thave to, but he did, and I respect that. I look forward to hunting him down when I get big enough to do so (if ever).
MF may be taking a heavy toll on my pocket-book, but I am enjoying it, even as I complain about it. There is just something fun about saying 'Woot! I survived his salvo!' followed immediatly by 'Ahhhh! He shot a second one!' You can see the humor in it, I'm sure. It's just fun. I'm not being sarcastic, I am learning and enjoying this. And also getting much more paranoid. Perhaps this is a good thing, but when I get my ship outfitted as a proper sensor/ECM/EW boat, you all are gonna have fun with me :)
P.S. for those of you involved, I was the Tristan that died twice today.
