Frankie Bones was one of the few DJ's to ever appear on the John Peel show playing records - here's another one of his awesome DJ mixes on imeem.com
Frankie Bones - Quadrant Park (1990)
Actually if you've got months of spare listening time then some nice person has uploaded almost everyEssential Mix to imeem so you can listen to them all. (or at least the ones that sound interesting)

Urban Hype - The Feeling
I'm sure there must be a better mix hanging around but this showed that Urban Hype weren't just into doing Toytown Techno, which tbh is probably the best sub genre description out there
Cubic 22 - Night in Motion Took me years to track this down, could never get its name.

Not sure when this video of the fridge is from but blur those pixels a bit and add a few crazy hallucinations and it's pretty much 1996 - 1999 when i was going there. - how i misspent my youth and why i would misspend it again
green nuns of the revolution (very hazy memories of seeing these guys live)
The man Bolland from 1991
Although somewhat confused in time period this video is.....It's it freshest move I've ever seen.
Thx Mitnal, what an ace thread. Between this and eve you clearly have a talent for wasting peoples time in an enjoyable manner

Urban Hype - Living In A Fantasy more evidence that they were in fact serious. (BTW - that bassline is so obviously nicked from Tempest 2000)

Raves? Are you serious? You all have the brains of 80-year-old Alzheimer's patients. That explains a lot. |
