Something is wrong when you can't stop a nano ship getting back to a gate and jumping. It needs fixing. It would be a simple implementation, just give 2-5 seconds before MWD can be used after decloaking.
Even doing our own tests, we got a recon's scan resolution up to xxxx and are still unable to catch a ship using this. I honestly believe it should be considered an exploit.

might also be good to not allow a ship with an active mwd to cloak. these two changes will stop a lot of risk vs reward imbalances.

I suggest you follow the train of thought that should I, in my interceptor for example, jump into a 20man gate camp I should under no circumstances be given a chance to escape?

Yes, jumping into a camp should instantly produce a killmail and drop loot

absolutely, why should one sole pilot be able to get past a 20 man gate camp, you should be bringing scouts and/or escorts before you jump in.

It's not about webbing, it's about the ship cloaking while on its way to the gate so it's not lockable

absolutely, why should one sole pilot be able to get past a 20 man gate camp, you should be bringing scouts and/or escorts before you jump in. 
I'd argue the point that he didn't actually get past the camp, he may not have been killed but it prevented him from getting wherever he was heading by that route. You bring scouts and escorts when you think you're flying something high value that isn't fast or evasive enough to have a good chance of escaping danger.

Last night i got away in my Drake! I warp in to gate see there is a camp. Wait they lock they fire i set there for a few of course it is a passive tank drake what other is there. Get bore with there a temp to kill me and jump through to freedom! Now i am sure they are all saying this needs to be fix warping to 0 and jumping to freedom. Well same thing the op is saying all lame gate camper say the same thing! Get real the game is fine just use the gifts that are there and stop winning that something like speed is unfair to you poor gate campers! I have used speed to get away also Phoon Fleet stabber so on. I even can excape the dreaded concord with speed witch i have done. 
So let just use the game the way it is intended and stop winning. OH i have done gate camps too and the mean old carebears got away.

Also us Tactical advantage when camping stop, blobbing the gate use a spear and have your fast ships in the spear waiting for the pray. Us the game, cloak around the gate in a spear fast locking boats and grab the pray when they come throught. Stop thinking that the only way to fight is in a blob try to think and use things the game gives you instead of thinking every ship that comes to the gate is yours, and they should roll over and die because your to lazy to think of something new.
Oh just hate wine post! Sorry I want changes that we really need not just because someone dose not want to think of anything but what has always been done. 
Ps: i will stop now and move on.

I think you are doing it wrong. We have used BC's with web and almost caught 6k/s Vegas heading back to the gates, multiple times in fact. If we would have had a minnie recon, we would have caught him.
Delay for MWD activation after decloaking would break much more than it would fix.

I do camp. not as much anymore but it used to be one of the only things i did... When I'm sitting on a gate camp I assume every ship has a cloak on before it jumps into me, therefore I have my TACTICAL OVERLAY on and soon as they decloak I approach and target. It kinda fills a warm place in my heart when they cloak because I have a line (via tactical overlay) pointing straight to their last known position and i'll be dammed when i fail to find a ship that cloaks that's not got a specific cloaking role int the game (i.e. recons, Sb, Cov ops.)
Rare is the times that someone jumps into my camp, cloaks and gets away.
Learn how to counter it in game ffs, quit crying to the rest of us.

This whine is getting ******* old.
1) it isnt 100%. People get lagged by the blob, they bump off gate if they press it at the wrong time, they forget about session timer etc.
2) They run back into WHERE they came from, IE the camp blocked their way. Stop with your freaking "INSTA LOOT PAYMENT WHEN JUMPING INTO CAMP" bull****.
3) yes it is annoying (i like to camp) but no its not imbalanced at all, has to be room for the solo pilot in eve - and not "always" let the blob win.

I honestly believe your crap at gate camping. Why post and in turn admitting the fact in forums ?
It takes mighty fine clicky clicky skills to get back to gate in such a situation.
If your in a nano ship its overkill to have to cloak and mwd back to gate in the first place but hey hoo what ever yanks ya chain.
