It's like Fubar said, decimals get dropped. So, with your skills the yield of one miner 2 is 82.8 m3 -> you get maxmimum of 82 m3 of ore per minute. Thus, the maximum units of e.g. Scordite you'll get in one minute is 546, anything else would go over the 82 m3 limit. Same goes for other ores as well, only the volume changes (because the volume of one unit between ores is different, too).
