This is just temporary until I make a new thread.

The 2.00 is out! I've sent the people who've patiently been waiting for it.. god it's good to finally have it out.

I'm estimating that the next few weeks members will find bugs and have suggestions on how to improve the sheet even further, and I'll do my best to release bugfixes as soon as possible.

Then I'll continue developing the other goodies for it :)

If anything else, just lemme know.

How do you like the excel sheet btw?

Your results would be more accurate on the mineral-ore owned page if your calculations were:

=floor(<number_of_refines>*<base_mineral_value>*(<base_yield>/100)*(1-(<station_fee>/100)),1)

Rounding is a problem if done before the final calculation.

Is there a circular reference on the production-estimates page?

- Hmm, I'm not totally sure what you're talking about.. What column/row are you referring to?

"Is there a circular reference on the production-estimates page?"

- That sheet was hell to create so it gave me what I wanted it to give me. I wouldn't be surprised to know there are some bugs in there, but I thought I had ironed them all out. Circular references was one of the problems I did have, so if you can let me know how you created the error, then I can check it out and correct it.

Orion Yoda:
"Hey this is great! thanks."

- No probs. I was going to let people pay for this, but I was too lasy in trying to advertise it. If you like it and use it alot, then don't hesitate to donate some isk my way :) Would love to make profit in-game from this work :D

Your ore list is missing Spodumanium (sp?) When you're in adding this, could you perhaps capitalize the ore names all the same? and decide whether you want the : or not? Its a bit annoying to me.

The Mercoxit value per unit doesn't have the /C32, so its listing the value per refine.

Also, because you've locked the columns so we can't resize them, there are some that are too narrow for their data, and just display ####### instead. N32 O32 P32 are examples, on the Mining Stats page.

I didn't get this for a minute, but I agree. The loss from station and waste should be calculated after adding the batches together.

Just to clarify the formula above, the <base_mineral_value> is not the isk value, but the trit/pyer/etc per refine, before waste or fee.

Here is an example of what I mean:

'Basic Stats'!e18 = 1000

'mineral-ore owned'!e15=floor($D15*'basic stats'!E18*('basic stats'!$N22/100)*(1-('basic stats'!$L$13/100)),1)

Spudomain

  • Density:16

  • Batch:250

  • Tritanium:700

  • Morphite:7

    Very nice mining sheet indeed.
but the locking of the pages is sort of annoying to me, so i just worked my way around it Wink
Ill keep that unlocked file for myself though.

anyway, way better then anything i could have done myself without spending days on it.

Fubar: Thanks alot for your input, it's great to see someone who is interested in this and wants to help out. I appreciate it :)

I checked the ore owned columns, and it doesn't make any difference if I multiply the total batches with a floored calculation or if I first multiply the whole thing and then floor it.

I checked out the production-estimates sheet regarding your recommendations, and found the problem with the circular reference.

    I've corrected D16 and J28.

I've also added Morphite, spodumain and mercoxit stats and variables, so they work.

I've also added a version number to it, beta 1 :)

Let's see if it isn't working like it should now.

Thanks for ruining all my hard work :(

you could have just told me how you wanted it here on this forum, and I would have fixed what was bugging you.

Please delete the hacked file, and tell me what you want fixed, and I'll do it for you.

I've updated the mining sheet anyway so you can resise the columns and added spodumain and other stuff. If there was anything else you feel uncomfortable with, lemme know and I'll change it. Don't just rip off all my hard work, which took weeks to do btw, and gloat about it.

how did i ruined your hard work?
just i wanted some very specific stuff added that nobody else would care about.
also note that i noted that i will never give this unlocked file to anyone.

what i added basicly was more subtotals everywhere, and added more columns then just the 'needed' cause i got some different people i'm got orders from.
also i changed the colors a bit to my liking.

I'm sure lots of other people just use your file and never even told you how they were impressed by it, and others then me must have unlocked it as well.

Well, in as few words, I felt really deflated from reading about someone hacking the sheet. It doesn't have to be logical, emotions never really are. Somehow I expected that people would leave it as it is, and reply with any changes they wanted or needed. But I guess that'll never really happen.

    Oh well.

BTW, delacho. I'd be interested in seeing the changes you made. Could you perhaps e-mail me the changed excel sheet to [email protected]?

I'm already thinking about implementing alot more to this excel sheet regarding the production side of the coin and having an easier to use database of owned blueprints which takes in skill levels and such.. Then there's tech 2 to think of and so on and so forth.

I'm also thinking about a combat-fitting excel sheet, inspired by some of the fine experimental work on the ships and modules forum. Most combat sheets I've found stop only half-way or show the data in a very uncognitive form, so that'll be fun.

    Consider these examples:

    floor((1000*0.9125*10),1) = 9125

    floor((1000*0.9125),1) = 912 * 10 = 9120

Your formulas will work if you have a perfect refining percentage.

You absolutely sure that EVE doesn't floor it first, and then multiply it with number of batches? 100%?

I am certain of this. When you are recycling loot that contains like 1 megacyte, if you recycle only one at a time, you lose the megacyte every time. But if you refine a batch of 100, you can retrieve much of it.

    Scordite Refining Quote Screenshot

    <number_of_refines> = 709993/333 = 2132.111 floored = 2132
    <base_mineral_value> = 833 (Tritanium)
    <base_yield> = (50+(37.5*(1+(5*0.02)*(1+(5*0.04))*(1+(2*0.05)))/100 = 1.00445 = 1
    *<base_yield> has a maximum of 1
    <station_fee>= 1-0.049962335 = 0.950037665

    Example #1
    =<number_of_refines>*floor(<base_mineral_value>*<base_yield>*<station_fee>),1)
    =2132 * floor(833*1*0.950037665,1) = 2132 * 791 = 1686412

    Example #2
    =floor(<number_of_refines>*<base_mineral_value>*<base_yield>*<station_fee>),1)
    =floor(2132*833*1*0.950037665,1) = floor(1687225.09138274,1) = 1687225

I'm just wondering why you didn't use a Vlookup table instead of that huge array of IF statements... would definately have made it easier for you in the long run (eg: updating stats).

But quite a nice little tool you've got there!

    *** EDIT ***
Cell L10 on the Basic stats page is locked/protected. This makes it impossible to change your "Spodumain skill" level.
