Rodge	Posted - 2004.06.20 00:29:00 - [151] Hi T'el'Alana, Got the new spreadsheet and it looks great. Found something, I hope you can check over. On the "Refine Items", I put a few items into the temp list on the left. For example, I used Caldari Shuttle, which I think my skills allow me to refine into about 2766 trit, give or take. When I use table 2 to calculate what it will refine into, I select the Caldari Shuttle from the dropdown and the amount of items = 1. It works out the units of tritanium received from the refine as 89,062. Even my refines aren't that good It does a similar thing with all the other mineral amounts for other items. Now I'll have to send everyone an updated version sigh I'll wait until later in the sunday to see if anyone else finds any glaring bugs, so go look people! Also, I need the new missile mineral data... don't wanna rip it off nirces sheet... hmm I'll have to wait until my contact logs on and lets me have the bps on chaos, or buy 'em myself. Oh well. If you didn't get the sheet 1-2 days after sending the money, then it might be a size thingy, so let me know. Excel viewer... never tried it. tell me where I can grab it, and I'll check :) Although I really want to officially advertise the sheet all over, I'm trying to keep calm for at least a week so all bugs, and all BPs which I might have put in incorrect show up, because that means less work in sending everyone in the future. However, those who want it and are reading this, just throw 2 mils at me and put your e-mail in the description and I'll email it to u :) Don't use hotmail, it has a max email thingy of 1 megabyte, so the sheet won't fit in there. T. -- always look on the bright side of the cloning facility.

I am pleased that everything has been fixed, and the version is up to 1.04 I had already sent some people the V1.03, which is exactly the same, just same size as normal, so no real need to send them the v1.04 as it contains exactly the same functional use, just is smaller. I do feel that the factory sheet has now become an invaluable tool for producers, displaying not only mineral needs for a specific amount of production runs, but also giving a great insight into true profit margins. Using the research sheet, these producers can see exactly what mineral efficiency they should aim towards, and make the best buy. The sheet finally feels that it has grown from being the little thing I used to work on in my spare time at work to something really great and useful. I don't think anyone who is serious about either mining, researching, or producing, whether it's tech 1 or tech 2 should miss this sheet. Keep the replies coming, and those who are new to the sheet make sure to check it out I'm always on the lookout to improve the sheet (otherwise it wouldn't deserve its name) so send me a note if you have an incling of an idea which might be interesting T. -- always look on the bright side of the cloning facility.

With all the current prices for buy and sell ores in a particular region. Could be difficult as you probably dont want to send 1mb mail everytime, but im sure there is a way. I know you can reference external spreadsheets, so maybe you can split the costs into a 2nd file so that it can be easily updated. just a thought since probabbly lots of us spend time doing the same task up checking prices and updating our sheets. ____ If your not dyin' your not tryin'.

THis means a domi pilot can have 15 drones out at one time. you should update the sheet where you imput what drones and lasers you use to reflect this.

I would like to improve the sheet so that agent runners and trade-guys will have a real use for it, but every solution I've thought up means that the user is taking alot of time inputting and changing data. There's also the problem that I'm not an agent runner myself, or much of a trader. When buying things I have to restrain myself not to take the first offer, and when selling things I have to restrain myself not to sell it to the first (and often)lowest bidder. I'll see if I can't think myself through creating a valuable trade tool. Somekind of automatic updates to prices would, I believe, have to wait until after shiva, or until someone offers to run around the regions, checking prices on at least minerals, ores, and tech 2 components, for a moderate price. If someone is willing to do that, I might try to create a template to work with, and see about somekind of an update tool.. Would be an interesting practice.. The mining setups are very handy.I did get a screenshot of an oddball collector's item mining laser in someone's escrow (he had about 30 widely different items for 50 mil) and a screenshot of an elite mining drone also too costly for me.
