hessi, interesting.. I see what you mean.

Hmm... this is actually very interesting.. I think you might have stumbled over something extremely interesting....

I'll have to verify a few things, and perhaps it would be better to split it into lasers and drones.. I'll have to check..

I have a sneaky suspicion...Shocked

I just downloaded the beta of this and started to take a look at it but have 1 question on a calc that i cant figure out.

Im on the mining calculator tab with ingredients entered for an Apoc. I have all my resources entered. For Noc on line 8 it shows I still need 29,757 in cell I8. The ore picked is Jaspet (tried all ores there, no change) and in D24 it says I need no batches of Jaspet. Its the only line that doesnt appear to work.

Its a great page and Ill probably buy it once I figure out this error im getting :).

**Edit**
Did some checking and I must be doing something wrong. This is what I come up with:

It shows remaining trit to get as 3,028,057 which is correct based on mineral I have in mineral and ore form. On the basic stats with my skills it shows I get 852 trit per 333 batch of Veldspar. With 3,028,057 remaining divided by 852 per batch that would be 3554 batches but the sheet shows 1067 batches to go.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

**EDIT 2**

Ahh brainfart. I forgot that other ores will also give trit so its only showing me how much veld I have to mine after mining scordite (which will give me pyrite and trit). The one that shows no batches must be getting enuff minerals from one of the other ores I have to mine.

Neat feature! Thanks :)

Ok I did a little further checking during lunch and my original hunch was not the case, maybe I got a bum sheet here. For a test of the calcs here is what i did (it may be me not the sheet :) ):

Entered the resources for an Apoc in the mining calc tab and entered all my ore/minerals on hand on the inventory tab. Checked the column for amt yet needed on the mining calc tab and it was correct. I needed about 3 mill more trit and thats what it showed. I also noted the number of batches it showed of all the ores I needed to mine. I then added 200,000 veld to my inventory (on inventory tab) and did verify that the amt still needed did drop accordingly as my minerals on hand went up (mining calc page). But what is odd is under that nothing changed. It still said I had to mine the exact same batches of all the ore as before I updated the quantities. Even the amt of veld ore needed didnt change by one after adding 200,000 veld to inventory. The page also comes up with a circular reference which usually isnt good (although sometimes it does work correctly)

So for me Im doing something wrong because right now it wont work for me :(.

I can be such an idiot sometimes Embarassed

I found out why the ore calc seemed to double the mineral numbers and thus fudging most of the calcs for the rest of the sheet.. Basically if you use the first station, it adds the value in the J column cells with all the other cells. A quick fix is to put in 'no' on the first station, and use the other 7. I'll be dishing out the 1.11 later this week with the fixes to bugs I've discovered, finally got the time to fix 'em, and then we'll see if the save/load feature will work Wink

gasparde:

Not sure why you're not getting it to work correctly. It could be you need to check to see if you're allowing circular references, and that you have iterations to 100 or more. It's in tools-options-calculations tab.

I know circular references is kind of an hack.. but it works beautifully for the mining calc, no other solution works as well.

Hey T'el,

Great work on the spreadsheet, you got yourself one happy customer :)

I sent you an email some while back about collecting high/low mineral and ore prices from all the regions, including the largest buy/sell orders. You probably missed that one, so I'm tossing it out in the open here - would people be interested in having such a feature in the Ultimate Mining Sheet?

The data would be updated on a regular basis, similar to the average prices, but you would be able to find out which region has the highest/lowest prices of a given ore/mineral. Because the data would be periodically hand culled from the game itself, there will be an inevitable discrepancy with the live data, but for mineral purchase/sell orders that take days to complete, this information will be quite relevant nevertheless.

Any takers?
