Ah.. this feels nice..

I've sent everyone the 1.07. There were a few emails which didn't get through, and I'll probably get a few error messages tomorrow, so we'll just accept that this is a part of how crap email has become and try to work around it.

Things of interest in 1.07.

1) There's an update sheet which updates sell/buy prices, blueprint data, and orestats if they change (like they are going to soon, or already have perhaps), but you have to press the buttons to update. This means I don't have to send people new sheets when I add more blueprints which are missing, and there are 8 counted as of yet.

2) I added a third factory slot, and made it so that minerals from the first isn't counted when it checks how many runs are in the second factory slot, and same for slot 3. Basically means you can now put in 3 Bps, their runs, and see if you have enough mins for all 3. This doesn't happen with T2 components, so it only works with tech 1 items, and tech 2 items which aren't limited by T2 components. I'm contemplating how many factory slots I should have in all. If someone desperately needs more than 3, then let me know.

3) blue means now sell-price value of ore or mins, and indigo means buy value of ore and mins. Green is used with mineral and ore units. In general though, blue also means isk value of item if u sell it.

4) another thing with the factory sheet, if you're manufacturing T2 items, the T2 component should go red if you don't have enough in stock.

5) Mining stats sheet got a new twist. The E-F and H-I columns are now independent of the A-B column, so you can play around with miner setups and ore values to your hearts content. However, the rest of the sheet uses the A-B columns to calculate mining time (mainly the mining calculator, and buy&refine sheet) and the K-L columns also use the A-B thing.

6) New thing as well with the factory sheet, You can now switch the prices between buy or sell value. If you mined the mins for the production yourself, you're more interested in getting a profit over the sell price of the mins. Remember, always keep sell and buy price of mins (and ore if you're a clever refiner) as up to date to the region or price your buying the mins at.

7) I've added a 'sells' sheet. I have no idea how useful it will be for you.. I needed something for my half-hearted attempts at producing, and that suited as a simple lookup. Those who are used to sell alot of things let me know how I can make this better for you.

8) Just a quick note, the buy/sell update thing is as useful as you want it. If you want it up to date almost every day, then let me know what you're getting and selling minerals at _every_day_ I'm not running around alot of regions everyday, so I can't check prices.. I can change them if someone else lets me know they're outdated however.

Um, yes.. Let me know if you find bugs :)

Great stuff !

I just got my e-mail today, you are very prompt and even work over the weekend! Smile
This looks even better than before. I especially like several mining set ups.
I haven't had a chance to thoroughly test it but I will and I am sure I won't be disappointed.

I'll post back with more feedback later - keep up the good work!

Ah I stumbled on something and I hope you can help me.

Mining Calculator doesn't seem to be working properly. I get ridiculous values for simple things. If I choose Scorpion, ML 20, PL 0, 1 Run copy and use Mining Calculator to figure out how much do I have to mine it tells me silly things.

According the sheet I would need to mine for 61160 minutes or for 42 days. Now I might be wrong of course, but I think that a 'thron could do it somewhat faster.

As you can see from the screenshot attached below values for NOC, ZY and MEGA aren't even displayed. I have had the same problem with previous 'free' mining sheet - perhaps it is something wrong with my settings on this computer?

I hope you'd be able to help me out,

Thanks a bunch

Today as I was going through and setting the many columns with the values I use (the ore prices were WAY lower than I sell at) and the equipment I had, it struck me. Would it be possible to make the sheet import the settings I have from a previous sheet?

um, big bug.. and a bloody obvious one which I should have noticed if I'd have just been less stupid with the mining calculator..

Chiara: the cyclic reference is not the bug.. it's a part of the sheet, as I say in the email, but there is a problem with it, so..

Perzon: There was a problem with bellsouth.. it's blacklisted by my smtp server, please eve-mail me with another email, or we'll try to figure something out to get the sheet to you.. the unbugged version that is :)

Other people who I had problems sending to:
Locust; email-domain blacklisted,
captjakal; email-domain blacklisted, and email too big for the other hotmail account,
Rodge; email domain blacklisted
dandy; hotmail box too small or email too big.
madscotsman; relaying denied, user unknown.. no clue why.

Gk0r: yep... that's the bug.. it's pointing to the incorrect values.. It's a silly bug which I should have caught.

Nikkoli, if u have the time, send me the sell values. The more people who send me sell/buy values of min/ore the more accurate a general price I'll have.

Btw, you can have both versions open, drag over the unlocked cells of the old version, column at a time, copy, and paste it into the new sheet. Lemme know how that goes.

I'll let people go over the sheet to see if they find anything else, so I'll send an unbugged version out tomorrow to the masses.. those who really want an unbugged version asap can email or evemail me and perhaps send me isk for the trouble Wink.

Another feature that would be nice is to have the ability to configure the mining calculator to optionally use multiple mining setups simultaneously (i.e. to guestimate how fast a can/indi will fill when multiple peeps are mining at once).

This could be good for those of us crazy enough to run multiple accounts Razz

Another feature would be to tell the mining calculator that, for example, 20 miner 2's, 10 miner 1's, xx basic mining drones, xx harvies etc are working on this goal to get a guestimate for time needed.
Good for large corporate belt raids.

I'd be happy with just the first suggestion though Wink
