Orion Yoda:

thanks alot man, I appreciate it.

I was thinking about what you said about making a donation.. and to me, I'd think it would be cool to donate what amounts to 1 hour of mining depending on your normal mining setup, and your normal ore.

That to me would truly mean something.

..You asked for my opinion.. :)

Hmmm using your mining spreadsheet one hours mining = ...... 1.3mil mining scord.

We'll have to see about that amount as a donation cause all my resources are been sunk into a Dominix I am building at the moment.

But I have said I will donate so I will.

By the way I have some improvement suggestions:
1) Under mineral-Ore owned you have total ISK in ore own but not Mineral own.
2)I would like to be able to calculate isk from ore been sold not just ore been refined into minerals then sold.

Keep up the good work, let me mine somemore and I'll send a donation your way.

Cheers

wow beautiful work

One think i was wondering about tho. you can only put in one price for the minerals, so when you put the best seling price you get the max profit, if you use the product thing, it costes much more to make things than it really does.

would be cool to have two tables with mineral prices, an maybe one with ore price, just an idea.

great work

Addinn, I'm always willing to listen to things people want to add to this.

Could you specify why you want 2 mineral value listings? How could it be of value to you. I didn't get clearly enough the reasons for it, so you might want to rephrase what you said earlier.

I'm already revising this by adding a ore-value listing, also checking out some ways to implement group-mining things.

To all those who like this spreadsheet, let's give T'el a nice donation, maybe not a million isk but any amount will soon add up.

now that I have cleared some bills I'll donate something tonight.

Great work indeed, congrats!

Addinn; it makes no sense at all to put in 2 minerals values; why?

If you can sell trit for let's say 1.8, then a item which takes 1000 trit to produce is worth 1800. It's not worth less cause you might have bought the mins for less/mined them.

Well, I've finally updated the sheet, and changed the name.

http://eve.pc.is/ultimate_mining_sheet.xls

Things I added:

Mineral and ore buy/sell values. I added mineral buy value to the mining calculator (which was before 'production estimates' so you can see how much it would cost to just buy the minerals instead of mining it.

I added mineral and ore sell values in 'mineral-ore owned'

I added ore sell value in 'mining stats'

And I added Group mining sheet. I'd love to get info on if it's useful or not in group/corp mining sessions, and how you'd like it changed or better or whatnot.

Check it out, and lemme know how you like it.

On the basic stats page what do these mean?

Station fee: 5
Recycling constant :37.5
Station equipment:50

Am i mean to change these? I have no idea what a recycling constant is? or what station equipment means, is that the % it shows when im in the recycling part?

lou lou: You don't have to worry about them. Those are stats affecting refining dependant on station efficiecy. Remember, the only cells you have to worry about are the red ones with the white text.

I believe all stations are still the same, but soon there will be stations with different refining stats, then I'll change my sheet to reflect that.

I should really just cover it up meanwhile.. Thanks for pointing it out.

You sure?

The station i mine and refine in in 0.0 space is says 30% with equipment, and 82% with my skills.

In empire i get stations with 50% with equipment and 95% with my skills etc.

I was curious about what people have said about your "ultiimate" mining spreadsheet. As I use Excel quite a bit I have already created my own spreadsheet (which includes recycling value and value for non-recylables with high/low price for all and my own "buy/sell at" values), and have not looked at yours myself. That said, I have been able to follow the discussion.

Yes, there are now stations with other than 50% base refine, even in empire space, so you will want to make that clear for people.

Also a fixed 5% station take is no longer (since Castor release), as NPC corps reduce this for you based on your raw personal standing with that corp. Also in player controlled stations I think there can be a variation on station take based on the station owner's setup (think the best is 2.5% and worst might be 3.5%).

As to the link command, check the Formatting: options just below your Message:, you are looking for the blue world with the chain links. Basic usage: click button, enter text you want to appear, click ok, enter URL, click ok.

Lou lou: ok.. I C. I'll need to change that then so you can choose between 30% and 50%. I'm not much of a refiner, so I don't notice these things, only have one skillpoint in refining Embarassed

Are there any other values in station equipment than 30% and 50%?

Valorian: I'm guessing you're not a miner, are ya ;)

I call it the ultimate mainly because I want it to be. It also makes people go "aha! this is wrong with it, so it can't be ultimate" and I can go "ok, I'll make it better so you can't say it's not the ultimate."

Recycling value thingy.. you mean for loot? I'd love to add recycle values for loot to my sheet. Where did you get your loot stats and formulas?

The corp faction thingy has been in since alpha one.

Thanks for the link formating, had no idea how it was supposed to be.

Thanks, just wanted to know if that was the figure that needed to be changed.

Base % in empire seems to range from 20% to 50% in Empire, with 0.0 ranging from 30% to 60%.

Just make it clear that people need to imput their stations base % there and your sorted.

Under basic info for ores and minerals, could you add the calculated value of ores per m^3? This is particularly valuable when available cargo space is the limiting factor to a mining operation, and it relates directly to mining speed since mining lasers extract a constant amount of m^3 per cycle, as opposed to a constant number of ore units. Otherwise I like your spreadsheet so far.

I got my loot recycling stats the hard way: by having a single item to recycle and seeing the resulting minerals, though some minerals do appear in items with partial values so am building large stacks and comparing the recycle report. Still have a few items where I don't know how much they have because I don't have enough to change the 0s to a 1, but eventually. Another way might be to determine the zero waste construction cost of each item, but I think this could require access to a lot of high ME bp.

I mine/refine/trade/build/research/hunt/do a bit of this/do a bit of that/... I'm sure you get the picture Wink

Beta 4! :D

T'el'Alana Luathin's Ultimate Mining Excel Spreadsheet - Beta 4

I've updated the big thorn that was mining stats. Now it looks alot more like the others, simple and aesthetical.

I've gone over the locked cells problem. Now all cells which aren't supposed to be locked shouldn't be locked.

Chiara: Hmm.. I'll think of a way to dumb my sheet down to excel 2000. BTW, I'd recommend getting excel 2003, it's sweeet.

I've increased the size of the fields you wanted. Lemme know if you want it any bigger, and I'll change it until I find a solution on the excel2k thing. Tell me what columns and on what sheets. Other people with similar problems, lemme know and I'll reconfigure it to your needs.

Therax: I've added isk/m3 like you wanted. I'm not sure that it will be that useful once you get comfortable using mining stats and mining calculator. Check them out, and see if that isn't more what you were after all the time. If so, lemme know.

Lou Lou: Added station refinery efficiency thingy, so now you can change it to what the station can do.

Hmm... I'm always on the way of adding a BP database.. but it takes so long inputing all the data.. :(

This is very close to working in 602tab (free Excel-compatible spreadsheet)

The problem with the Floor() function is on the basic stats sheet with the main table. If you can fix this I'll stick some decent ISK your way...
